NATHAN WILLIAMS HARDWOOD FLOORING

Recovery Service - Water Removal, Wood Flooring Repair or Partial Replacement, Wood Flooring - Refinish,

About us

I am a small company. I do my own work with great pride! I try to treat each customer as important as the previous and the next ,not depending on the cost of your job. I always give the highest quality work I can perform and always will! My prices are fair. I have low minimum charge of $500, and in a lot of cases will work with people on that. I do everything hardwood flooring from installation, repair, sanding, repairs, to custom stain color. ( and I'm not color blind!! LOL) I'm even know to sand outside decks on occasion. I provide dust reduction standing at way below my competition!! I always leave my website neat and organized. I will not leave your home trashed or covered in dust!! I have over 15 years of experience with all of the top companies in my field, with 7 years on my own. If your job is to small or not local enough I have other people I can recommend that I would use on my own floor. Give me a call I will return it in order of call as soon as possible! Due to a lot of calls some may not be called back immediately. It may take a couple days. Thank you!! Nathan

Nathan was great. He was honest, nice and professional. I would definitely hire him again. He was very responsive, responding to texts throughout the process and tolerated us being "under his feet" a bit.

The project went very well, particularly considering the difficulty. The cherry floors, about 25 to 30 years old, were installed in the addition to the original house. Because they were not installed correctly, severe cupping had resulted, and every board was affected. Many of the boards were badly scratched. The first floor refinisher that I invited to our house said that the floors could not be salvaged and recommended tearing them out and installing new hardwood floors. This assessment was not contradicted by any of the other refinishers invited to the house. Nathan Williams said that there was beautiful wood lying underneath this exterior and that the floor could be salvaged, and proved it by completely sanding out all traces of cupping. The fir and ash floors were much older, and not subject to cupping, but had also experienced some damage in the past. Nathan did an excellent job in refinishing all the floors and in not leaving sanding marks. He was also very patient in working with my wife and me on creating a custom stain for the floors. The floors look terrific, and the floor refinishing was probably the single greatest significant contribution to the improvement of our house's appearance after our purchase of it. We regularly receive compliments on our floors. Nathan was careful and thorough in his approach, and I would probably give him an A+ if such a grade were possible.

We built a walk-in closet in our master bedroom and decided to install a hardwood floor. Since much of the rest of the house has Brazilian cherry, we wanted the new floor to match. A coworker had just had her original oak floors refinished by Nathan and was thrilled with the results, as the job had been very difficult. She highly recommended Nathan, so I gave him a call.
Nathan was very prompt in returning my call and came out to give us a quote. We had a couple bundles of flooring left over from our original install in the rest of the house and Nathan was able to use that and just buy one bundle that matched, which saved us some money. He was prompt and professional and the floor looks fantastic. We ended up putting an angled door into the closet, which meant Nathan had to cut several boards on an angle, and it all came together beautifully.
When we redo our basement next year, we're planning to install an engineered floor (since it's below grade) and will definitely call Nathan. Highly recommended!

Nathan took adequate time in explaining the process when he came to estimate the job. He was polite and courteous.
When he came to do the work he arrived at the approximate time he said. They cleaned up each area upon leaving for the day. It took almost exactly the same time he estimated. I was very satisified in his work and plan on using him again when I do the upstairs this spring/summer.

Nathan only worked about a 1/2 day. A week project ended up taking 2 weeks. The wait was worth it. My floors look GREAT.
Response from NATHAN WILLIAMS HARDWOOD FLOORING
"I was only on this project 1 extra day than scheduled. We had to do the floor in two stages because one room was full of all of the furniture from the others. Not only did we have to move all furniture but all the clothes pictures and nicknacs. We were paid to do so but was still very time comsuming. I did work more than 1/2 day also . No one was ever home to say any different. LOL"

The floors look much better than they did before. He came during a big storm and there were a few times that his truck got stuck in our small alley. I think that he could have done a better job of finishing the job earlier. There were some days where he would lay down a finish in the morning but I think that he could have returned in the afternoon for another coat. There are also a few areas that are imperfect. He is very personable and the price was good.
Response from NATHAN WILLIAMS HARDWOOD FLOORING
"I do apologize for the delay from the storm. I could not control that. The polyurathane unfortunately does required 24 hours of dry time. Especially during the winter. If I could have finished earlier I sure would have. I work from job to job most times and need the money as soon as possible. I do try to give my best. Even when there is 12+" of snow and a level 2 snow emergency! LOL"

Nathan Williams' price was fair. He explained exactly what he was going to do and also explained why that was the best process. His final result was excellent and we were very happy with it.

Nathan is outstanding. He does very high quality work with trustworthy, experienced workers, and his prices are extremely fair! He stained and sealed our oak floors beautifully with the color and finish that we wanted. He went above and beyond to satisfy us, even though we are very picky. The finished product looks amazing.

MY HUSBAND AND I WERE ENTIRELY DELIGHTED WITH THE IMPROVEMENT IN THE APPEARANCE OF THE FLOORS. IN OUR OLD HOUSE, BUILT IN THE 1920'S, WE HAD LIVED FOR YEARS WITH DULL, UGLY FLOORS. WE DIDN'T REALIZE THAT THE FLOORS COULD BE REFINISHED SO BEAUTIFULLY FOR SUCH A REASONABLE PRICE. WHAT A STUNNING DIFFERENCE.
