Dewayne and Melinda Arbaughare the local owners and Consulting Arborists of Mid Ohio Tree Service Ltd. Together they have a combined twenty five years of experience treating sick and damaged trees and are very knowledgeable about the various types of tree varieties found in Central Ohio. Dewayne and Melinda are members in good standing of the National Arbor Association (NAA), The International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) and the Better Business Bureau (BBB). There are about 40 tree varieties most common to the region. A few of the most common are Elm, Ash, Maple, Sycamore, Gum, Linden, Oak, Dogwood, Cherry, Pear, Magnolia, Locust, Hickory, Chestnut, Apple, and Walnut. These are hardwoods. Other evergreens such as Cypress, Holly, Spruce, Hemlock, and Eastern White Pine are also prevalent in our region. Four men arrived on time, set up safety measures and began work. The removed one large tree in front and pruned another very large tree in our back yard. The worked continually, safely, efficiently and professionally. They were like a well-oiled machine. Every limb and branch came down safely within our yard. They didn't even touch my flower beds. The tree they pruned was done with consideration and skill. They removed all limbs and brush, raked and blew yard clean and we're finished within several hours. We live on a small lot with neighbors close on both sides. Of the four estimates I had, their's was very reasonable. I particular appreciate that they didn't recommend "topping" a tree. Five stars. Highly recommend.

They showed up on time and got right to work. As the trees came down, another crew showed up to grind the stumps and smooth the area. It was nice to have everything done all at one time. They did a great job and cleaned up everything.

I wanted a tree (along with the stump) removed from my front yard. Mid Ohio Tree Service was quick to leave an estimate and quick to schedule me in. One day they removed the tree, the next day they removed the stump and any large branches left from the first day. Did a great job in cleaning up and filling in the hole where the stump was. I was told I could mail a check or call with a credit card payment. Did not have to take off work while they removed the tree. Mid Ohio Tree Service made the process easy and hassle free. Would definitely hire again.

Two different crews came out to remove a tree and then to grind stumps. Each crew did great! They were very respectful, did their job, and cleaned up after themselves. The only issue I had was in contacting the office, They weren't as responsive at returning my calls.

I had to have the trees removed because of serious storm damage which left a large limb suspended in the top of one of the trees.   I called Mid Ohio on 7/14.   They gave me an estimate on 7/20.   I accepted the estimate, and they cut the trees on 7/22 and ground the stumps on 7/23.   I was more than a little impressed with the responsiveness.   The crew arrived at 8:30 and were finished by 3:30.   The crew was very hard working and efficient, and they took only a very short lunch break.   The workers were friendly and professional.   They arrived  with a large bucket truck when they said they would and showed significant skill in removing the trees without damaging anything.   They also had to work near a relatively busy road which complicated locating the equipment.    They cut the logs and limbs for lumber and  fire wood the way I requested and cleaned up when they were done.   For grinding the stumps, they brought two large stump grinders and finished both stumps in less than two hours.   A second crew did the stump grinding, and they were just as friendly and professional as the crew that cut down the trees.

2 crews arrived on time with manual climbing equipment, a bucket truck, and a chipper shredder.  Both crews were very professional in their approach to the handling and shaping of each tree.  They spent a great deal of time climbing into the interior of each tree to thin and dead wood branches.
Bucket truck was used extensively to trim and shape large trees in front of and near the house.
Crews were very polite and obviously experienced.  Worked steadily until 7:30 or 8:00 p.m. to complete the job in one day.
Clean up was excellent and thorough.
Extremely satisfied with their work.  Will not hesitate to use them again.

They did a great job and exceeded my expectations. I was concerned about the trucks on my cement driveway and making a mess driving in the yard. This was never an argument  they stayed off the driveway and did not drive in the yard which created more work for them, hauling all the brush farther than they would have had to drag it. It was 15 degrees and the wind was blowing but they stayed with it and did a great job cleaning the yard. The trunk of the big maple in the front needed to be cut several times so I could handle it, this they did  even better that I thought they might.  The best thing about all this is that there was never a hassle they did as I asked and did not try and argue about what I wanted.  Great Job!

Everything went very well except it initially took several days for them to get back to me because they misplaced their quote estimate. I had to keep calling them to set up the date because I needed them removed within a week.

No big problem though and everything worked out great and better than expected.

I would use them again.

Bill came promptly to take a look at the tree branch on the roof and give us an estimate on the work we needed done (even though it was a busy time, with much storm damage in the area). We were able to schedule the work promptly, too. Four men came to the house as scheduled. They were very professional.....they knew what they were doing. They had the equipment they needed...like a and quot;bucketand quot; so they could get up where they needed to cut. They were very adaptable, also, and were willing to do whatever we wanted done. Of their own accord, they even took down two bird feeders that were near one of the trees they were trimming so they wouldn't be damaged, and they put them back up before they left. Everything was cleaned up wonderfully before they left. They chipped and hauled away everything. Our trees look so much better! (and safer, too!)

My overall experience with them has been excellent. We have been using them for years and we have had very good experience with them. We use them about every other year. They have a certified arborist. They deal with a wide range of services. With the tree trimming, they do not over trim or under trim and I am really happy with how they do that. They are local and they are based here in Lancaster, which is handy. They are very good about cleaning up. They get the stumps out. Whatever we have asked them to do they have done a good job with.
