Mark made my water damaged hardwood floors on a rental home look better than new. He is prompt, honest and very fair on price. Stop looking and call him!

I have used Mark before,  for my hardwood floor needs.  He can put in flooring, replace flooring, refinish flooring etc.  As I stated he squeezed me in, doing work around Christmas day, knowing time was an issue.  Mark took about a 5 days to complete the job from start to finish.  He had to tear out the out floor, including the tedious work of getting all the nails.  He cleaned up and took the old stuff to the dump.  It was not salvageable.  After the floor was out, he coated the sub floor  with poly  to make sure there was no   dog urination possible smell.  Mark got the appropriate lumber, and mixed two oaks together to better match the floor that remained and  undamaged.  He put in an entire new dining room floor, including shoe mold, transitions ect.  He covered a hole where a furnace register was, but no longer needed.  Mark filled, sanded, and stained the floor to match the exsisting hardwood.  He put two coats of oil based finish on the floors.  As I pointed out, he does his own work and is a perfectionist.  I never worry as to how things will turn out and I am picky.  I did not have to lift a finger.  He handled everything.  I have no worries about Mark working in my home without my supervision.  He is extremely trustworthy.  
If you want to contact McKee floors, you must call him on the phone.   That is the only sure way to reach him.  He will definitely return your call,  if you leave a message.    Computers , websites etc.  are not  his forte or priority.   I wouldn't even rely on a text message.

Overall, Mark did an outstanding job. He was responsive, worked quickly, and picked and matched the hardwood exactly. Mark was responsive to my questions, showed up on time, finished the floor a day sooner than quoted, was responsible about using the wood saving us one bundle which we were able to return for a refund, and did an outstanding job matching our 1928 hardwood. I would definitely recommend him to others.

We left town for the week while Mark was going to be doing our floors. We felt comfortable enough to leave our house with him. He covered all the doorways with plastic to prevent dust from the sanding getting everywhere. He had to sand many areas by hand. He applied a beautiful satin finish and our floors look better than they did brand new!
We came home to gorgeous floors and the house spotless. He had put everything back where it belonged and cleaned up any evidence of dust. There was one tiny spot were some filler had come out, so after just one quick call, Mark came back and fixed it immediately. We couldn't have been happier with the entire process. It's great to see someone so dedicated to doing a fantastic job and providing such excellent customer service.

I am not happy. He was going to use an older screen so there wouldn’t be any swirls. There are now marks all over my floor. I asked if that’s how it’s supposed to be and he said yes. I disagreed and asked what he’s going to do about it and he said nothing.

I actually talked to 4 different contractors before choosing McKee. The other contractors were fine, but Mark does all the work himself, and was the only one who would take on the task of repairing or replacing shoe molding to make the room look truly finished. Mark did terrific work and I cannot recommend him highly enough!

Mark was thorough, conscientious and punctual from start to finish. The floors were badly worn, scratched and cupped. The night I came home after sanding I couldn't believe it was the same wood, and things just kept getting better. Absolutely NO dust penetrated into other areas and he vacuumed the work area and adjacent counters and cabinets perfectly. Mark even mixed a custom stain to match adjacent flooring. 2 coats of oil stain plus 3 coats of oil-based polyurethane make them look absolutely brand new. A GREAT JOB!!

I found Mark McKee to be affordable, even almost 10 years ago. I found him to promise what he delivered and to do a good job. I have already recommended him to my friends. He is a good guy. I spent $1500 on the work. He refinished several flooring for me. At that time, I used him because of the quality of the work and the price. He is a straight-talking and honest person. He is responsible. I will use him again in the future.

Mark was recommended to us by our carpet installer, who said he was the best. And he definitely is. Mark worked with us to achieve the looks we wanted, His craftsmanship is A+. He is on time, professional and easy to work with. My floors turned out beautifully - I could not find one thing to complain about and I am very picky. If you decide use him, you will be more than pleased with his work. Mark refinishes wood floors also, so I am going to hire him to refinish the older floors in my house.

Mark is VERY good at his trade. The experience was wonderful. I left a lockbox on the door and he used that to get in each day. He called about halfway through the job to give me an update and let me know when not to walk on the floors any longer. The floors needed refinishing badly and he did a great job sanding them down evenly and applying polyurethane. He is excellent at what he does and we would definitely use him again in the future. He also was VERY reasonable for the amount of work/time it took him. He started on Monday and was done on Friday.

Mark did a fabulous job. He had refinished all of our floors in our Upper Arlington home (2200 square feet) 11 years ago, and were fortunate that he was still in the business. If you're looking for a true craftsman to do your floors, we highly recommend Mark. There is no one else to whom we would trust our floors.
