I purchased a $4200 water softener for my home on February 16 2016 under a 2-year 0% interest financing agreement. When I got the financing paperwork in the mail, it stated 1-year 0% interest. Despite numerous attempts to get this corrected with Lynn Heflin, the territory manager, it remained a 1-year agreement. In October 2017, one of the tanks from this system failed. The tank ruptured and flooded a portion of my basement. I called Lynn and left a voicemail. I never received a call back. I called the main office and scheduled service. The equipment was under warranty, but I was told that I had to pay a service fee for Kinetico to come out and fix it. The two technicians came out and fixed the tank. One of the technicians told me that there was no charge. In November I received a past due notice from Kinetico for a service fee. Also, the technician dumped out the salt water from the ruptured tank in my yard killing the grass. My experience with this company has been nothing but terrible. I would give them o stars if I could.

The technician showed up on time, was professional and explained everything to me. Since the system was completely new to me, he even explained how it worked. The filters got changed, the resin was cleaned and he performed sanitation on my system. It was recommended I do all of this 1 x year based on my usage. All of this was done within my lunch hour. Very happy with the service.

lWe have had a kinetico water softener for over a decade.  It has performed well up until the last few months.  We called to have a service technician come and determine the cause.  When he arrived he had a sales person with him.  I had no idea who this gentleman was until I started getting a sales pitch.  No effort was made to find out what was wrong and if it could be fixed.  They just wanted to sell me a new $3,000 water softener.  I listened politely to them, took their literature and then was charged 75 dollars to listen to a sales pitch.  I will never again purchase any kinetico product in my home.

They were very efficient, and the device does exactly what they said it will do. The water is now odorless and colorless, as it should be.

I like their system, it's really good, it's non electronic and recycles on demand. You just put the salt in and go.

One person came out for the job. It took about four hours. I thought he was very courteous and he responded to my questions. He cleaned up after himself, overall it was a good experience.

Our saleswoman tested our well water that had been run through a PUR filter and determined that we had more than 500 total dissolved solids in our water. The EPA says drinking water should be less than 500. So we decided to purchase their Reverse Osmosis System, especially since the company was running a once-a-year Memorial Day Sale with a significant price reduction. The system was installed in our basement furnace room, next to our water softener. The water line was run through our drop ceiling in the basement, and the faucet was installed on our kitchen sink. The serviceman had to drill a hole in our sink for the faucet, and he took care to locate the facet exactly where I wanted it. He also checked to see which side of the faucet I preferred that the faucet be installed on, the right or the left. He was very clean in his installation work, and wore shoe covers to keep our carpet clean. The installation took several hours, but he took time to replace the ceiling tiles and give me a thorough lesson on how to change the filters. This only needs to be done every 12-18 months, depending on water useage. The gauge on the unit is a nice feature, as is the fact that the water flow slows and stops when it is time to replace filters. Filters are color coded, which is very helpful.
Water flow from the faucet is excellent, as is the style of the faucet (high, crook neck in brushed silver to match my fixtures--they have other options, too). Taste of the water is excellent. Now we can rest easy knowing that our well water is not providing contaminated drinking water! Our tank holds 2 gallons of drinking water, and can make up to 40 gallons per day. Very pleased.

We changed from another company to them. We have had the other company for a long time and they could not fix the problem. They kept coming back and coming back and coming back but with Kinetico Quality Water Systems, they did the whole water softener system over and it works beautifully. I do not know how much the service cost but they fixed the problem. Their punctuality and professionalism were also good. I liked them and I actually recommended them to a neighbor.

Excellent sales information in our home, testing of our water and old system, and installation of our new system. They removed and disposed of the old system in a very clean way, although I did cover the floors with protection. The new system has an improved design and we anticipate that there will be no problem replacing the washable filters. It is working very well, and is really an excellent solution to hard water problems.

They did not charge us for the initial service call, and they gave us $1000 credit for the old system. They were very prompt in delivery and patiently explained the new system to my wife and me. We are very pleased with the overall experience, and certainly would use their services again.

We started by talking with the Kinetico rep Brent who was very professional and answerd all of our questions and concearns.  After deciding to go ahead and go with Kinetico we were promised installation on Tuesday Aug. 13, 2013.  The installer showed up at 9 am and introduced him self and explained what he was going to do. During the installation he answered all of my anoying questions and added information that I had not thought about.  When the installation was completed he did a walk through of the whole system and made sure that all my questions were answered.  When he was leaving he made sure that any mess that he had made was cleaned up and we were satisfied withthe service.  I would recomend Kinetico to everyone.

I got a pretty good deal on the K5 because they were running a special to coincide with the Columbus Home Show.  It was still expensive as these things go, but the K5 is the highest rated system you can get according to my research and I'm very happy with it.  They were very punctual and the installation went flawlessly (even drilling through our granite counters).

We called them because there was a terrible sulfur smell coming from our hot water, and the water softener that handles our well water hadn't been checked in a long time. I was given a price of $130 for them just to come out. Mike was extremely professional and tested our water for dissolved solids both on the cold side and the hot side. When he found that the cold side was fine, he told me that he didn't need to make any changes in our (very old) softener system, but that the anode rod should have been removed when our new water heater was installed, and that was causing the problem. Since he knew that we would now have to call in a plumber to fix the problem, he called his office and got us a discount - down to $50! He was extremely competent, patient, clear, and helpful.

I asked for a home visit to go over the size of the system I would need and how to install it. I wanted a price quote when we were done. The sales rep came out on time and was pleasant. We went over the different systems and there was some questioning as he looked around our home. He was very pushy and I'm wondering if the prodding was just small talk or sizing up my income to see how high the quote would be. As we came down to it we never did get to the basement for him to look at our setup. There was much hoopla about the amazing no electricity system and he asked who else was coming out and referred to their models as old and cheap which I thought was inappropriate. At the end he did go over the water flow I would need and recommended a model setup along with a reverse osmosis system. There were lots of options which I personally believe were money wasters like a "bacteria removal module" which is good for people with heard conditions and chronic diseases. As a physician I can thoroughly tell you that is a complete waste of money. No one is getting sick off their drinking water unless their is a boil alert. There was also a "module to put vital minerals back in the water, aka reharden it. Then came the price and sticker shock. We were looking at about 6 grand. That was twice what the competition quoted us. I'm not sure if everyone gets quoted six grand or if we were special because he thought we had lots of money. I was actually kind of offended. I make a good living, but I don't squander it... okay maybe a little, but not for this. Again, I save money on the electricity the cheap old units use, but by my math I would have to use his unit for about a thousand years to break even. At the end of the day, yes, their warranty is longer. But you can buy two systems for this price and have a warranty even longer than theirs. And at the end of the day both systems will give you soft water... it's all just salt... and I can think of a lot of better ways to spend 3 extra thousand dollars. I would not recommend them because the price is simply what the sales rep thinks you will pay. These are tough times, don't waste your money.

The sales rep, Jack Boyer, came out on 10/29/10 to test the water, give me a presentation of the products they provided and assessed the installation area. Jack was extremely punctual, friendly and he in no way pressured us into buying anything! We purchased the system while he was at our house (the whole visit was right at 1 hour) and he told us it would be installed on 11/5/10. They called about 3PM on 11/4/10 to let us know when they would be at the house to install the system. Darren was the installer and he was right on time, actually about 20 min early which was great! Darren did a SUPERB job installing the system, he answered all of my questions and was very professional. I did lots of research on water softeners and went with Kinetico based on online research and word of mouth from friend, acquaintances and neighbors. If you want a top of the line system, buy a Kinetico. My wife and I are extremely happy and would definetly recommend Kinetico!
