We had Mr. Schwen come to our house because we had a leak in our roof by our chimney. He got up on the roof and looked around and indicated that it appeared that our chimney needed to be re-tuckpointed and that that should take care of the problem. He brought his crew, they tookout the old tuckpoint material and re-tuckpointed the chimney. The next time it rained, we still had a leak. We called him back and he said he probably just needed to caulk around the chimney at the roof which he didn't do when he "fixed" the chimney. Next time it rained, we still heard the familiar drip, drip, drip and the ceiling was wet. We again contacted Mr. Schwen who said we just needed a new roof and that he would be happy to give us a quote for that. We reported him to the BBB and requested our money back and never heard from him again. It was then that we contacted another contractor who was on the roof for a few minutes and said all we needed was a new chimney cap which would have been less than $50 to fix. It was apparent that Mr. Schwen didn't know what he was doing.
