Windy Hill Hardwoods

Initially, the experience was positive as our sales rep/designer was very easy to work with and always pleasant.   The issue came later when our contractor and the installer (not affiliated with Windy Hill) started to discover measurement discrepancies which lead to a number of complications in finishing the project.  From a sink that would not line up symmetrically under a window to a number of trim panels that would not properly fit the space, and finally an incomplete tile order where the bull-nose trim (to cleanly round off tile installation along exposed edges) was not ordered or even suggested. We learned this is an important detail to tile work and presumably something a professional kitchen remodeling company would attend to as part of the job.  We ended up doing a lot of unnecessary extra legwork and driving around to various distant locations (picking up needed supplies or returning unneeded or errant materials) in order to properly finish off the job.  For the premium we paid, to have to continually clean up work that most certainly should have been part of Windy Hill's job became very frustrating and tedious.  We hired them to attend to all of these aspects of a kitchen design/remodel as, presumably, they do this work everyday.  It was a hard lesson learned on our part. We became so frustrated at the end of the project, that we simply avoided contacting them with additional problems and just handled the issues independently so as to avoid further setbacks, confusion and time wasted.  This lack of attention to detail is concerning and why I unfortunately cannot recommend this company.

The appointments were timely kept.

At the first visit my husband and I were impressed. I explained what I was looking for and we were shown some samples of what they had to offer. My husband and I both liked the limited selection, it was easier to make a decision. I had a few conversations with my sales person and explained what I was looking for. I set up a time for them to come out and measure for my new kitchen layout. A few days later I came into their office to get a price quote, and left happy. Later when I contacted my salesperson to get additional information I was informed the pricing didn't include installation.I was very disappointed I was specific about my needs and was never told installation of cabinets were not included, I tried contacting my sales person but they wouldn't call or email me back. I visited the showroom and spoke with a very nice lady and explained my situation, she apologized and offered to have someone else help me out. Another sales person took over and they were very nice however when they ordered the cabinets they ordered the wrong size and type. My GC installed the cabinets and the workmanship of the cabinets were poor, scratched doors, split wood, warped cabinet doors and etc. I addressed the issues and Windy Hill replaced the cabinet doors but they never returned my calls and when they would order the doors I had to keep calling to find out if they came in and they always had excuses as to why it was taking so long. Customer service was very poor would not recommend. Also I purchased a granite counter top through Windy Hill which I also had several problems with.

We worked with Bonnie Steward and she helped us select the cabinets. She did all of the coordinating of the work. Everything was done and we are pleased with the cabinets.

They gave us personal attention and gave quality product for a low price.   I will use them in the future, too.

We purchased our cabinets from Windy Hill and Bestway Contractors/Chuch Schneider 330-837-5576 installed all the cabinets, trim, tile and flooring.  They did an awsome job.  would have them do my kitchen again!!!

No bad stories to tell.  All good.  Would recommend in a New York minute.

They have subcontractors that do work for them. The speed at which they did the work was remarkable. They did all the work in less than two weeks. I was really happy with them. They were prompt and did the work. He was here hours and hours. He was very professional.
