We "inherited" services from A to Z from the previous owner of our home. She had paid in advance for lawncare through November and we took ownership of the house in July, so as a selling point she passed the paid service on to us. After we had been living in the house several weeks, however, we had not seen anyone mow the lawn. When I called the company, I was told that they would need to speak to the previous owner before continuing with the service (meaning they had received payment, but had no intention of continuing service without being told to do so). We contacted the previous owner, who called and confirmed with A to Z that they shoud continue mowing our lawn. She informed us that there were 10 weekly mowings/edgings and a Fall trim left on the contract. On several occasions a week or two would go by with no mowing and I would have to call A to Z to "remind" them to mow our lawn. Usually when I did call they would come out that day or the next. However, anytime I spoke with the man who answered the phone (presumably the owner), he was very short with me and acted as though I were inconveniencing him. (Keep in mind, we were not getting free service from him. He was paid by the previous owner.) I never saw any evidence that a Fall trimming took place, meaning they were paid for that service and did not deliver it. If they did complete this task, they left no note or indication and they did such a poor job, we couldn't see any evidence that it had been done. We had considered signing our own contract with A to Z following completion of the contract from the previous owner, but after the treatment we received over the summer, we are looking elsewhere for lawncare.
