This is an addendum to my original review last year...
Originally I did give Greg a glowing review.  He indeed did take a very out-dated non-functional bathroom and bring make it functional.  However I wrote that review right after the work was done.  Upon further inspection, I did notice some things that I had wished were different.  I spent an entire year trying to get him back out here to fix them and he FINALLY came 3 weeks ago to look at what I wanted changed.  He proceeded to tell me that he was going out of town to work the next week so he would have to get it done ASAP.  I have not heard from him since.
I don't plan to contact him again. I will unfortunately have to find another contractor to fix his mistakes.  I had given Greg's name to 2 neighbors who also have outdated bathrooms and want to remodel.  I have told them NOT to contact him.
I did however learn 2 major thing from this experience.
1.  I was always concerned about inconveniencing Greg.  Now I know that he works for me and if he gets a little inconvenienced than so be it.
2, NEVER EVER pay the contractor until the work is finished.  I wrote Greg a check before I left for work while he was still finishing  the job.  I should have told him to come back the next day to pick up his check, but again I didn't want to inconvenience him.  Once they have their money it is very hard to get them back evidently.
Greg really made a mistake as we have another, larger bathroom that needs updated but that's his loss!

Addendum number 2.....
So as I said, Greg never came back to fix the molding mistakes he made.  I had given him the one piece of tile to try and match it to make some changes in our bathroom.  Since he never showed back up, I texted and asked him at the very least to please return the tile sample so that WE would have for reference.  2 days ago  guess what showed up on my front porch.....the tile.  In a VERY cowardly fashion he left the tile and didn't even bother to speak with me.  Great business skills this man has!

It turned out just fine. We were very happy with the results. When we first met up with Greg, he said, if you got the job, it would probably September before you could be in and we agreed that that would be the time frame and he was probably delayed by another couple of weeks after that or something like that but the timing was not an issue for us and we fully expected that there could be plenty of complications so we had no issue with any of that. They did a very nice job.

He came in and drew up designs for us. We were happy with the plans but have not moved to complete the remodel as of yet.

Due to Greg's previously scheduled work, there was a delay in beginning our project.  Once started though, Greg worked full days until the project was completed.  Coming a distance in bad weather, he always arrived on time. Each day when he left, the work areas were spotless and debris was hauled away.  All carpeting was covered and he was careful not to damage the wallpaper surrounding the shower.
The final cost (estimate we had been given) was higher than the original Big Deal offer due to additional materials needed. Nevertheless based on other estimates we had, the total price was very reasonable.  Especially noteworthy was the quality of the work performed for the price we paid.
Thankfully Greg fit our more urgent job into his schedule before Christmas, replacing the toilet in our main bathroom.  It was leaking beneath the tile. Using extra ceramic tile that we had,  he replaced the flooring around the new toilet, repairing the stained grout. The entire bathroom floor looked brand new when he was finished.  The cost of this job was $790.
We were quite pleased with the finished product in both cases and would highly recommend Greg.

Had the sense to quit before I fired him.  He was clearly in over his head with basic electrical and plumbing.  General contractor replaced him with another sub contractor.
Response from McInnerney Construction
"Unfortunately, this was not the case. I was not in over my head and the reason I withdrew from the project was the lack of cooperation from the homeowner. This was my call to leave and I regret that it ended up this way. The situation could have been easily avoided. Greg McInnerney"

It took a day for Greg to gut the bathroom though he did leave the toilet connected so we could go to the bathroom and not have to stay elsewhere. (We only have the one bathroom.) He installed a new shower/tub and added a light over the tub. We did not have a vent in the bathroom so we asked Greg to add one (which he did).
He painted the bathroom yellow per my wife's request (it was blue) and painted the ceiling. The old floor was linoleum so we had Greg tear it out and replace it with tile.
We had our large single sink vanity renoved and replaced it with two vanities with granite counter-tops and individual sinks for each vanity. also we had him remove the large mirror over the old vanity and replace it with mirrored medicine cabinets over each sink. A towel rack was added and a cabinet was installed over the toilet (there was not one previously). We had our single light fixture over the sink replaced with light fixtures over both sinks.

On the next to last day, the toilet was replaced. Finally, our old closet was modernized and the dead space at the top of the closet was remodeled by creating two more storage spaces. The old sliding doors were replaced with more practical fold out doors.
The old bathrom was old, archaic and ugly. The new one is modern, beautiful and useful. We are so glad that we had Greg do this project. He is a nice guy and does great work.

Greg was easy to work with, he showed up and we spent about an hour discussing the project (involves knocking down walls, etc). Since our first meeting, he sent a preliminary draft of designs over for my approval before proceeding with the high end designs. All designs turned out great and gave me a great starting point for the future.
With the custom kitchen design, we discussed types of cabinetry, how to best utilize the space and even touched on how to best rearrange heating/cooling aspects of the kitchen if I were to knock down a wall. Very thorough job! I would recommend McInnerney for similar projects in the future.

We purchased two of the deals for a design consultation-- one for the bathroom and one for our kitchen.  Greg was fantastic-- friendly, knowledgeable, and professional.  He was also flexible when I needed to reschedule, even though it made his schedule tight.  He looked at our spaces and helped us determine the best options for utilizing what we had.  He provided us with bird's eye view drawings of the space to make sure we were all on the same page, and a mostly itemized estimate so we could see exactly where the costs were coming from.  Although we still haven't decided whether we're going to go with McInnerney Construction due to the high cost of the project, we were pleased with the service we received from Greg.

We had Greg out to remodel our bathroom. We had him do everything except the bathtub and surround. We were ecstatic with the results and with Greg! His price came in right at what our budget was, he was extremely punctual, even early (which messed us up a couple of times as we are well used to "contractor time") and he was patient with us throughout the whole process. He was always polite and we had no concerns with him in our home. Probably our favorite part was his attention to detail. He noticed things we would have overlooked and suggested things that we had not thought of. We also really liked his sense of style as it was very similar to our own and we especially liked that the guy designing the room was also the one doing the work. We had new tile put in (at his suggestion), new cabinets, moulding, a new countertop and sink, new toilet, new outlets, an exhaust fan, a new mirror, new lights, and we also had him paint. We worked with him on selecting everything and we typically went with his suggestions. We visited his suppliers to pick out what we wanted, including a granite countertop which we thought was out of our price range but turned out to fit nicely within our budget. He even custom built two access panel doors for the remodeled bathroom and the bathroom immediately below that one (which gives access to the plumbing above.) He has great attention to detail and nothing he did was sloppy. We were able to just hang the towels when it was all said and done, no additional work needed on our part. We will have him redo our kitchen this fall and have already had him out to take measurements. We highly recommend Greg for any construction work!

Greg always was punctual and very pleasant  to work with, always seemed to be smiling&happy.widows came first and they posed no trouble for Greg,he just seemed to take the old crooked windows out like it was no big deal, but they where. In no time the new ones where in,caulked and shiney new.Next came the siding for an 1100 sq. ft house with attached 2 car garage.Everything proceeded better than we could have hoped.Every day Greg would pick up all his debris before he left. What an amazing site to see the old siding going away & the new beginning to show.Tv cables, telephone cables, were all neatly hidden away along with ugly power conduit. We hired Greg as a local contractor because we believe in supporting local businesses  whenever we can,and Greg  is exactly who we needed. We will hire Greg for an upcoming kitchen and bath remodeling without a second thought because we can trust him
