+ -1 moreI started by going to the contractor's website and requesting a quote for a family room and office remodel. There was no call back after a week. After waiting I called and left a message and my phone number requesting a call back. Waited a few days and no call so I called again and left another message. Finally the contractor called me and said his wife had surgery and so he hadn't called. I understand when someone gets sick so we then set up an appointment on a Monday night. He was a no show for the appointment and not even the courtesy to call me and say he wasn't going to show up. Then on Wednesday he called and said he had the flu on Monday. Even taking this in to consideration he should have had someone call to cancel the appointment. When we talked on Wednesday he apologized and said he would understand if I didn't want to talk to him any more regarding an estimate. I decided one more time and we set up an appointment. Then the next morning after discussing this with my wife we decided this contractor could not be trusted to keep his word. I have no idea what type of work this company does but trust is everything.
Description of Work: No work done, this review is for the estimate I never got.

Description of Work: We wanted to expand our kitchen by removing the wall between the dining room and kitchen. Gene did such an amazing job on our kitchen! When demolition was happening, you really couldn't even tell, he kept all dust down to a minimum and cleaned up nightly so that we could continue using the kitchen. When he patched the ceiling, I though he would have to replastered the whole thing to match it, and he was able to actually match the pattern on the existing ceiling...you can't tell where the old wall ever was! He also installed a new counter for us with cabinets and a wine cooler, along with installing new flooring and new lighting throughout the kitchen. All of the work that he did was absolutely top notch. He treated everything as though it were his own and the quality showed exactly that! We are so happy with our kitchen I cannot even tell you! Everyone that has seen it has agreed with us as well.
