Cookies Lawn Care

We requested Mr. Cook to give us an estimate to complete a yard cleanup. He was taken around the yard and given instructions as to what we expected to be completed. The most important part of the job was getting vegetation off of the fence so we could replace it. We also requested over grown bushes/shrubs be trimmed and beds be cleaned up. Mr. Cook was also specifically shown some shrubs that were to be trimmed, but not removed due to sentimental reasons. Mr. Cook provided an estimate and stated it would be a two day job to complete. We agreed to him completing the job. He called while we both were at work on Aug 4 and said he was available and could do the job. When we got home our yard was basically trashed. Eight of our 30 year old flowering shrubs in the back were cut to the ground so that only tree like stumps remain. These were shrubs he was specifically instructed not to remove. A perennial bed that included iris, bleeding heart, daisies, etc. was wacked to the ground. The iris had the tops completely cut off so they will be dead before next Spring. The other perennials were struggling and most likely will not make it either. Some shrubs were needlessly topped and others just stripped of leaves so that they are only sticks. In my 29 years of running a greenhouse business I have heard of, but never seen such destruction. Mr. Cook returned to our house Tuesday Aug 5 to discuss why we were upset. He would not wait exactly 15 minutes for me to get home. He informed my wife he had some yards to cut and would return after that. He stated this would be in approximately 1 ½ hours. Mr. Cook has not returned to discuss the matter. The worst part is that the original job of cutting shrubs away from the fence, was never done. His excuse was that he was unable to do that, but he also never tried to call us to relay that information. At this time I have to waste money to find someone to dig out the stumps so we can try to repair the damage his company created. I would not recommend this company for any jobs unless they can be completely supervised.

It was manicured perfectly and everything was clean when I got home!
