Mike did an awesome job trapping the two raccoons in my attic. His knowledge and expertise in this area is outstanding. He provided excellent customer service and was able to get the job completed. He encountered weather obstacles along the way but that did not hinder his determination and skill to trap these raccoons. He made sure the entrance ways these animals used were covered so they could not get out (and he could catch them) or any other critters could enter into the structure. It is very hard to find a person who is honest and enjoys the work they do. Mike demonstrates that in his profession. He will go the extra mile if needed. I highly recommend him in this line of work. He will get the job done. High Kudoos!! If I ever need this kind of service again, I will be calling on him.

After being disappointed by 2 of the "big name" critter removal companies over the past two years, Buchanan's demonstrated the ability to get the job done. With a combination of outstanding technical expertise and great depth of real world experience you will be pleased with their solutions to your animal problems whether it is a simple short term removal or a complex longer duration removal such as mine. I'm just sorry there isn't a 5+ rating when you experience an extraordinary professional like this. Once the animal removal was completed and verified, Buchanan's offered various alternatives to sealing off the problem areas and completed the selected method. Being in the hands of a company that provides start to finish service is a rare find.

Mike set traps for the squirrels and came to get them. After several days of trapping and two squirrels caught, he sealed the entrance and said I should call him if I heard activity again.

I've always been pleased with Mike's work. He promptly returns phone calls, schedules his visits as soon as possible, quotes a fair price, and then delivers the service quoted. Mike explains what needs to be done and how he thinks it will be done. Because he's healing with wild creatures, sometimes things might not go as he thinks they will so Mike always explains possible alternatives. I've always been happy with Buchanan's Wildlife Solutions.

I discovered that there was a family of opossums living under my shed one evening when my dog, a c*** hound, went crazy and tried to dig to get under my shed in the back yard.  After getting down on the ground and shining a flashlight under the shed, we discovered a mama opossum and about 3 babies hiding in a tight space, exactly where the dog was digging.  I spent about 2 hours on the phone trying to find someone who would come and remove them for me.  I finally got a list of licensed trappers from the Ohio State Extension office in Dayton.  I called and checked on prices from a few of them.  When I spoke to Mike, owner of Buchanan's Wildlife Solutions, he sounded very knowledgeable and professional.  He explained that he could bring traps over, set them up with bait and would come back to remove them once we got the possums. 
Mike came to the house the following day and set two traps with bait.  We blocked off all sides of the shed with bricks to ensure the only exit was into a trap.  Apparently I missed one small spot and the opossum got out the first night.  I called Mike to let him know we did not catch her the first night.  He returned that day and repositioned and re-baited the traps, once we made sure she had returned.  We rearranged the bricks to cover the spot where we thought she had escaped.  The following morning (Father's Day) I checked the trap and she and two of the babies were in the trap.  I called Mike and left a message, and he came by after church to pick up the trap with the opossums in it.  He re-baited the second trap and moved it where the remaining baby opossum might enter it if he came out that night.  He left the trap an extra night and came back to check it  and the area under the shed. Apparently, the third baby opossum got out and hasn't returned.  Mike picked up the trap and told me to call if I saw it come back.  He also gave me advice on how to permanently  seal off the area under the shed so that no other critters decide to make it their home. 
I learned a lot just talking to Mike about opossums.  l would definitely use Mike's service again, if I need it in the future.
