Km Concrete And Construction

I had a prior job that was started by a contractor and never finished. I needed a driveway poured and also some unfinished plumbing work. I have had really bad luck up until this point on this repair and was feeling rather desperate to have it finished. I contacted Jeff Puchmajer (Owner) from KM Concrete and he came to see the job as scheduled (I called Sunday and he came to house Monday evening.) He gave me a rough estimate for the area that I needed repaired and said they would finish a couple plumbing items I had pointed out that the prior contractor left unfinished. He told me he and his partner would come back and do an exact measure and write up a contract should I chose to move forward. I contacted Jeff a couple days later and they showed up the following Monday, again on time and as scheduled. I was very eager to have this repair done because my back yard was torn apart since the previous fall. My yard was a mud pit and I expressed how excited I was to move forward. Jeff was honest and had estimated it could take about two weeks until they could get to my job due to other work in progress. He called within a week and was going to start earlier than expected. The month of May, being very rainy weather, I had hoped for the best but was expecting delays due to the weather reports. Jeff, his partner and his team ended up working that following Saturday to tear out the drive so he could plan around all the rainy days. While removing the cement, he pointed out to me the plumbing work I had done was incorrect (by prior contractor) and explained why it was incorrect in terms I could understand. He offered to fix this as well which had to be done to pour the cement. He and his team returned Monday to finish prep for the cement pour and also fixed the plumbing. They poured the cement two days later. The cement had a swirl design added by hand. I also really liked the way he shaped the cement around the flower bed in my front yard. I had cement around all 3 exits to my house which was a concern to me, so he set up boards as a ramp so I could get in and out of my house. They were very accommodating because I asked a lot of questions and I have two dogs so was worried about getting them outside. He explained the time frame for me walking on the cement, for the dogs walking on it and then being able to drive on it. They removed my gate and put it back up each day so I could have my dogs blocked in the yard. Once the job was complete, I contacted Jeff to ask about holes for the gate and sealing the driveway (which I did not request on the original contract). He responded immediately and came to my house the next day to drill the holes and put on the seal. I have found historically that many companies are not very responsive and just figure that comes with the territory of having work done. It was great to be able to have work done as promised and to have calls or texts responded to very quickly. I would definitely recommend KM for work. I had normal cement pavement on my house but they offer many other types. He showed me pictures of some other styles they offer which were very beautiful. I have nothing but good things to say about KM Concrete and their team. Responsiveness to calls and timely service from a work crew is so important to me and this company was very prompt and did a quality job! I feel you will get what you request from a great team of workers.
