The job was over a two day period. Removing the old furnace and preparing the site for a high efficient furnace. Of course none of the existing sheet metal matched the new furnace requirements. New sheet metal was fabricated to fit and a new air filter was installled with the new furnace. Air Care removed all debris, packing material and the old furnace and attachments. The furnace area in the basement was clean, no trash of any sort was left behind. they tested the furnace and made sure everything worked and provided me with a one to one demo of the new programable thermostat installed.
Description of Work
Remove old inefficient furnace and install a high efficiency furnace. Additionally prepared the new furnace for a new efficient A/C unit to be installed when the weather is warmer and the snow covered ground is clear/

They are very honest, very good, very complete and very thorough. We like them a lot. They have a warranty that we pay for every year that covers a service of our air conditioner, a service for the furnace and a filter change. We like that where we pay for the year and they come out automatically to make sure that everything gets serviced and take care of. They were thorough and they didn't drag the day out when they came to install the new air conditioning unit. It was done in four hours. They were going to be changing the thermostat and they didn't like the digital thermostat that they had gotten in because they had some complaints about it. They wanted to reorder a different one for me. They explained it to me and that was fine. I liked that. They know me as a customer and I always deal with the same guy. It is like having family to our home taking care of things. They have come on a Sunday. They are always punctual.

Larry Dooley arrived, checked my furnace, found the problem, ordered the part and picked it up early the next day. After he picked up the module early the next morning, Larry came directly to my home and replaced the faulty ignition module. Fortunately the outside temperatures were moderate at this time and we did not have to wear heavy clothing to keep warm. I was happy with the overall response that Air Care gave to my heating problem.
Description of Work
My furnace would not ignite and heat my home. I called Air Care Heating and Cooling and requested a service call to check and repair my furnace. I called late at night and was asked if I needed an emergency service call. I replied no that a call the next morning would be fine. Larry Dooley arrived at 9:00 am the next morning and checked my furnace and found the igniter module as my problem. He did not have the correct module for my furnace and had to order the part. It was available the next morning and was picked up and put in my furnace.

Air Care A/C service arrived at their scheduled time and immediately went to work. The service people are polite and professional. Joe showed me some damage to the outside coil that happened over the winter. Joe also said the damage should not have an effect on this years A/C operation. An itemized work order was given to me of all findings.
Description of Work
I have a service contract with Air Care Heating and Cooling. Air Care does an air conditioning checkup in the spring including replacing the SpaceGard filter media. Additional services performed were checking the indoor thermostat, clean & wash the outside fan assy and A/C coil and also checked the freon levels in the system.

A burned out 35 amp fuse was replaced and the a/c worked once again. I asked what do I owe and Larry Dooley looked and smiled and said nothing.
Description of Work
My central air stopped working mid afternoon on Sunday 6/5/11. I called Air Care answering service to set up a service appointment for Monday 6/6/11. I received a return call within 15 minutes from Air Car asking if I needed an emergency repair on Sunday. I advised Monday 6/6 would be fine. A 9:00 appointment was made for Monday. Air Care arrived promptly on time and checked the electrical contacts and fuses.

REPLACEMENT WAS DURING A RAIN STORM. THE TECHNICIAN DID NOT WANT TO STOP WORKING. I FINALLY PERSUADED HIM TO STOP WHEN IT STARTED TO LIGHTNING AND THUNDER.

OUTSIDE AIR CONDITIONING COMPRESSOR FAILED AND OPTIONS WERE TO REPLACE THE COMPRESSOR ONLY OR REPLACE THE WHOLE UNIT. I CHOOSE TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE UNIT.

AIR CARE IS PROACTIVE ABOUT SCHEDULING OUR MAINTENANCE, AND IS ALWAYS RESPONSIVE WHEN WE HAVE PROBLEMS. WE DO NOT KNOW ABOUT PRICING AS WE HAVE BEEN HAPPY ENOUGH WITH THEIR SERVICE THAT WE HAVE NOT TALKED WITH A COMPETITOR. THEY'RE ALWAYS PLEASANT AND COURTEOUS, BUT SOMETIMES OVERLY CHATTY.
