"Mr. [Member Name Removed], Seymour Tree Service did not perform any services for you, and we did not provide an estimate because we shut the operations down for six (6) weeks every year to perform preventative maintenance on our large equipment. I reviewed our call log from the date in question (e.g. 1/21/21), and we have no record of you calling the office concerning this storm damage work as we would have explained to you we were shutdown and unable to assist you. It appears as though you hired an Angie's List contractor the exact same day to clean up the storm damage, so your issue was resolved expeditiously. At the conclusion of this work, Seymour Tree Service never received notice from you indicating the work was completed either, so does that mean you deserve a "D" rating as a potential client, I think not! You exercised your right to hire the contractor of your choice and felt no obligation to notify us of your decision, which is perfectly acceptable. We strive to respond to every job lead and question the best of our ability! Finally, I find it unusual you waited nearly a month after the work was completed to file a complaint against our Company. I called you today to better explain our circumstances and was only able to leave you a voicemail; I also sent you a text asking you to contact me regarding your concerns, but to no avail as you have not called to explain how we can help you out. We wish you the best! :)"
"Seymour Tree Service never provided any work for Mr. [Member Name Removed]. It is accurate that [Member Name Removed] was advised by our receptionist that our crew was busy, including the working estimator, and that the next opening was 4-6 weeks out due to existing open orders. Despite this disclosure [Member Name Removed] insisted he would wait for a written estimate, which he was provided before filing his complaint (estimate number 9090). The [Member Name Removed] residence was visited twice after his initial call on September 24th; the first time [Member Name Removed] failed to attend his own scheduled appointment on October 1st and the second time an estimate was left in his mailbox absent the appointment, within fourteen (14) days of his inquiry! I am uncertain what more our Company could do to satisfy [Member Name Removed] as we reached out to him several times attempting to resolve his grievance and he responded with snarky, belligerent, and racially demeaning slurs. Angie's List representatives were provided with our Company records including [Member Name Removed]'s in-take call summary, notes, and written estimate. Even with accurate evidence showing that [Member Name Removed] is nothing short of a poor historian it is Angie's List policy to allow individuals to smear good Company's without cause."
"Seymour Tree Service never performed any work for this individual; we only quoted work. When Ms. Mayer wanted to schedule we were unable to accept the work due to poor weather and COVID-19 restrictions on essential work. Ms. Mayer continues to harass our company on social media because we refuse to work for her. Despite her erroneous complaints and harassing calls, we provided her with the names of fifty 50 local tree companies to contact. Apparently that is not good enough as she continues to want Seymour Tree Service to perform her work, which we will not do! God bless you Ms. Mayer!"
