I highly recomend Mastronardi Construction for construction and home renovations. After our initial meetings, Gus clearly outlined the budget and expectations to complete the project and stayed very closely to the agreed upon timeline. From my initial phone call to the completion of the project Gus was available, responsive and in constant communication with me, a welcome departure from past experiences with undependable contractors. He's meticulous and an excellent project manager. There are alot of contractors out there, but few are as reputable and trustworthy as Mastronardi Construction.

Mastronardi Construction is absolutely the best!!! I have an old house and Gus and Tony has handled major (replaced outside sewer lines), minor (valve leaks) and jobs in-between. They fix every problem with exceptional knowledge, experience, speed, integrity, and enthusiasm! They are professionals who care about you and will do their best every time! They recently fixed a tough valve leak and also replaced the main water valve so quickly the water was turned off by the water company for only 20 minutes! They also disconnected a bathtub, capped two gas lines, and fixed ceiling lights all in a fast and effective manner. There are always other items that need fixing and they are happy to help take care of problems. For tough jobs they stay late until the job is done. I am a veteran and have been through other plumbers and construction companies over many years and there's no one better than Mastronardi. I would recommend Mastronardi's to anyone who wants someone you can trust to give you outstanding results at excellent prices.

Gus, the owner, responded to my inquiry within a few hours. Work was started and completed in a timely manner. Very efficient, quality work. Very good communication throughout the entire process. Truly the best service we've ever received...will definitely use his services again!

Work was done well & quickly. Gus showed up when he said he would & was prompt on replies to questions or issues I had. Old barn was modernized and does not leak any more, sealed up tight. Price was fair.

Gus completed all jobs that he could on our list and was honest about the need to get a siding company to replace part of the siding and to repair a window that would require the siding to be removed and reinstalled. We appreciate his good work and his honesty so that all repairs can be completed as they should be with the correct specialists.

Gus Mastronardi runs the best plumbing company I have ever seen. His work is exceptional, done the right way with no shortcuts, fast service, and reasonably priced for the best value anywhere. My toilet, bathtub, bathroom and kitchen sink were paralyzed and did not drain. Sewage had been backed up in the basement. Gus rearranged his busy schedule to do the job within the week. In less than six hours, Gus dismantled a chain-link fence, dug a 7-foot hole, located and repaired the clogged pipe, and put everything back in place as it was before. In addition, Gus repaired additional items that needed fixing including rebuilding a bathtub faucet, repairing ceiling light fixtures and replacing a light switch. All work was done cheerfully, quickly, and done right. If you are looking for an awesome construction company that makes repairs the right way, quickly, cheerfully, and at a reasonable price, go with Mastronardi Construction. I would highly recommend this company to everyone!

Gus was very polite and had great suggestions for me as I am trying to move but may not be able to. His work was "just right" - I did not buy overly expensive products at his suggestion, but he installed them like I was his best customer, as he kept in mind that I want everything to look as nice as possible for the selling, but in the end I just might have to stay where I am. The result was really a fine job - this contractor knows his stuff and goes the extra mile. It was a smaller job by comparison to some of his other contracts, but he got the job done at a good price, he managed to work around my job's demanding schedule *and* my pets, and he was very professional & helpful throughout. And I want him to replace the rest of my doors now!! Be sure and look at the pics I posted, which show side-by-side before & after shots of the outside & inside of the main job he did for me, which was replacing the man-door on my garage. He definitely took a sow’s ear and turned it into a silk purse. What a great job. I will *definitely* use him again. Thank you, Gus!

Arrival on day 1 (estimated 3 days to complete all tasks) was scheduled for 9-10am, Gus arrived after 10. On day 2, arrival was set for 8-9. Again, Gus arrived after 10. His painter arrived around 9:45 on day 1 (waited outside for Gus) and 8:45 on day 2 (waited til 9, then came inside). Gus had forgotten about installing a new sink and garbage disposal. His eyes started bothering him and he blamed the cats - complained non-stop. (He was in my house twice before - initial estimate, then updated estimate when fans were added - the cats were not an issue -allergies were not mentioned). Around noon on day 1, the 2 went to lunch and returned around 1:30. At 3, they closed up to go to another job. On day 2, Gus walked in and within a minute, complained of the cats). He told his partner, “the cats have to go - I can’t work like this”. My response was “then GO! If you can’t do the job, LEAVE”. They immediately left, taking all equipment with then. I was left with no stairwell rail, no lights in my halls or stairs, exposed areas where fans and floor vents had been removed. Gus demanded payment of $600 for the work done. I did not hire him to demolish areas of my home and said so. He verbally threatened to take out a lien against the home if I didn’t pay him. I told him to send me an itemized bill for the work done (the downstairs hall ceiling and coat closet had been painted). He again threatened. He was extremely abrasive throughout the experience. He sent an email again threatening the lien, saying he would contact his lawyer to pursue non-payment and cancelation of the check he demanded. I have been without the stair rail and adequate lighting for 5 days. I have to hire someone to come in and fix the mess left by Gus. I will add that the young man (painter) helping Gus was very appropriate, showed up on time and went out of his way to be helpful.

"Thanks for your patronage with our company. Unfortunately you were not prepared in moving your personal items out of the areas you wanted work to be completed. The second day you were hiding in a closet in the final room that needed painting with your cat and litter box. We kindly asked you the day before to remove all items, it is impossible to work in a room with people, items, or pets in them that refuse to move. My helper wanted to leave your job the first day, without pay, when you had a temper tantrum because I recommended we move the paint you purchased from outside the front door into the garage because it looked like it might rain. The time schedule you described is accurate only because I had to convince my helper to come back after lunch to give you another chance and that maybe your husband's health played a factor in your disrespectful behavior. He agreed but only if I promised that you move your personal items and didn't act disrepectfully. He called on day two stating you were in the closet and wouldn't move your cat and it was difficult to work. Once I arrived I saw what he meant and stated we can't work like this, once you said to leave your home he looked at me and nodded to leave and I said okay. If the litter box and cat were moved into the basement my allergies would have been fine since I take allergy medicine. Your inappropriate behavior lead to the events and once you said to leave your home there is no way we would stay in an unwelcomed environment. I had compassion toward you when you practically cried that your previous contractor took nearly a year to complete your family room project and won't return to complete some items, but it all makes sense. I blame myself for not reading the red flags you displayed correctly. My helper was accurate about you, but my compassion toward your husband and claims about your previous contractor blurred my decision making to the point of regret. I payed my helper for his time that he worked at your home, I only charged you for the portion of the work we completed $600 of a total of $3,200 which needs to be completed regardless, and your disrespect/request lead to the job ending prematurely. You stated you didn't hire me to complete demolition and I didn't start a job to be disrespected, being told to leave because I have allergies, and then pretending to pay me only to stop payment on a check. [Member Name Removed] you earned the "F" by me and your previous contractor obviously. You owe the $600 for work completed, won't need completed by your next contractor, and I expect payment this coming week in certified funds and will be pursuing payment because what you did is just WRONG! Hopefully the next contractor will read this review. Again thanks for you patronage and wish you and your husband well!"

EXCELLENT!!! My general contractor "forgot" to schedule the electrician that I asked him to use, so our project got stalled. I found Gus on Angie's list and gave him a call to see if he could squeeze me in same day or next day... he was hesitant because doing that can create hurry-mistakes or set his other work back. But he agreed to come out to look and arrived within an hour. He saw that it was not a huge job and the other projects he was scheduled for were in the same neighborhood, so he took my work on. An hour later, his crew arrived to walk through what needed to be done and they were very thorough with lots of questions to make sure everything went just right. Then we scheduled the work for the next day. I wasn't home when the work was completed. But Gus came back over to review the work with me and I was very impressed. All of the lines were very neat and tight. They had even fastened down all of the existing receptacles tighter so they didn't wiggle at all. They thought of everything down the line in my project and adjusted placement for a few things so that trim that will be added would have plenty of room and things like that. Gus was also very sweet, personable, and easy to like. I believe him when he said that his only bad review was from a woman who he refused to go to dinner with, because that can be the only reason someone would not be happy with the service.

Gus and his crew are outstanding: can't recommend them highly enough!!! All of the work was done beautifully, they cleaned up after themselves, and were all wonderful to work with. Most importantly, this team of guys went WAY above and beyond their 'call of duty' to help my daughter who had gotten her SUV stuck at the time the crew was working here. I was just astonished that the guys walked over to her (where she got the SUV stuck) and all of them worked together to get it out - didn't charge us and wouldn't accept the cash I tried to offer them for having helped her!! Can't tell you how grateful we are!! Guys like this are one-in-a-million! Thank you so much to Gus and his crew!!

Gus was fantastic. I called him and we made an appointment to secure my deck railings for the following week. He came on time, assessed the repair that needed to be made, quickly went to Home Depot to get the necessary items and returned. The entire job from first arrival to completion was less than 90 minutes! Gus is professional, thorough, and friendly. I will hire him again for future work!

Looks nice! All went smoothly. They cleaned up after themselves. The boss Gus was very friendly and was punctual when following up on all communication. Regarding the price , I'm honestly not sure how good the price was compared to others because after we talked to Gus we were confident they would do the job right... And they did! Very pleased!

Gus was able to come in and take down my old interior bathroom trim, install a new PVC trim, and clean the bathroom window area up! I few months later, still no sign of water. The work was excellent, and would definitely recommend Gus!

Gus responded to my call right away and worked with me to find a day to come out to do the work that worked for both of our schedules. He was very prompt, did good work, and was efficient. The final cost was less than he had estimated on the phone. We will definitely use him again.

Overall a good experience. Gus was thorough & communicated quite frequently to discuss any issues that came up during the remodel. Any issues that did come up were handled professionally and acceptable solutions were used to remedy them. Would recommend Mastronardi construction for remodel/improvement jobs.
