VILLLAGE CLEANERS

I took a coat to VillageCleaners in Macedonia to be cleaned, along with gift certificate, sent to me as new resident. Clerk refused to take certificate, told me to bring it back when I picked up coat, gave me a slip for $13.12. When I returned to pickup coat I was told that price had gone up to $14.98, because they removed the hood, which was never removed before, cleaned it separately, put hood on separate hanger, charged extra for it. Then the clerk did not know how to operate the register to handle gift certificate, told me to come back next day during daytime. I refused to take off work. She said management was on vacation, did not train her to operate register before they left. Yellow pages ad says they been in business since 1956. How could they be in business that long and be so stupid? I want to warn consumers, especially new residents, to avoid VillageCleaners in Macedonia and Brecksville. I m sure Brecksville location is just as bad, since they share same ad in yellow pages.
