Fantastic and friendly service, as always! We have used Excell Electrical in the past, and they are always quick to respond and very thorough. I called in the late morning, and Rick was at my house by mid-afternoon. The origin of the problem was not immediately obvious, but he took the time to go through all the systems and wiring in detail to make sure we knew exactly what the problem was (which turned out to be a faulty septic pump sensor alarm outside). Rick took the time to explain how everything worked and that all our questions were answered. We have always had a good experience with Excell Electrical. Years ago, we called an electrical repair company and asked for a service call, but we were told that the job was too small and to call somebody else, and they did not give any recommendations as to who else to call. Thank goodness we found Excell because they are always kind and willing to help! Even though I have twice called right before a holiday weekend (once was before Thanksgiving, and this time before Easter), they squeezed me in. You can't beat that!

Rick provided the initial estimate, and Jeff performed the actual work. The project took about 5 hours, and was done in a very professional and competent manner. Jeff kept me informed as the work progressed, asking questions as needed to obtain my preferences. The area was completely cleaned upon completion, and the final city inspection was smooth and uneventful. The price for this work was competitive, and we are completely satisfied with the results. Excell Electrical Services will be at the top of my list for any new electrical projects, and I will absolutely recommend them to family and friends.

I had Gutter Glove gutter heating system installed about 5 years ago by Ohio distributer Weather Armor (see their review from me on their site).  The system worked the first 2 years, but since then has not functioned.  After going back and forth with Weather Armor and the owner of Gutter Glove Robert Lenny, he suggested I get a local electrician to diagnose the problem.  I went on Angies site and called Excell Electric since they were rated A 100%.  I told him the nightmare I was having trying to get this fixed and he responded within a half hour.  Even though the temperature outside was 22 degrees with the wind blowing he spent several hours diagnosing the thermostat and the heating cable and found both not functioning.  This was far more than Weather Armor has done for me the last 2 years.  Excell Electric did an outstanding job as at least now I know what the problem is.  They are even willing to install the new parts, if Gutter Glove is willing to supply them.  The thermostat and cable is still under warranty.  I would definitely recommend Excell Electric to anyone.

I first dealt with Rick from Excell Electrical Sevices Inc. when my condo association hired him to repair a light on my front porch. During that visit, he made some very minor non-electrical repairs all at no cost.   I decided to hire him to do additional electrical work in my home because of his expertise and his pleasant and friendly attitude.
Rick arrived on time, had the equipment and tools needed and wasted no time getting started.
I would definitely hire Rick again for any electrical work needed and would highly recommend him and Excell Electrical Services Inc.

They were extremely helpful, very reasonable to deal with, kept me informed throughout the whole project, and did an excellent job.  The electric company had come to our home to replace our meter, as the old one had stopped working, only to find that whoever had installed that meter years ago (before we bought this house) hadn't hooked it up in such a way that there was enough line to easily replace it.  I had never heard of such a thing!  Anyway, after some research here on Angie's List, I contacted Excell.  They researched the problem, figured out a solution, took care of all interactions with the electric company and our city permit authorities, scheduled everything and on the day got it all done without incident so that we spent a minimal amount of time without electric power.  Because of the complexity there was a bit of time between when I contacted Excell and when the problem could be fixed, but they kept in touch and kept me informed every step of the way.  This was extremely reassuring as we were dealing with a terminally ill family member at the time and were very overwhelmed.  Their price was also very reasonable for the work they did.  As we look to renovate our home in the near future, I will definitely be calling them for any electrical work that we need.

I thought this fan had been disconnected years ago and only when the men siding my house went to remove it did we (HE) find out the hard way that it was not.  
I didn't have an electrician, so I asked the company that has serviced my furnace for 18 years if they could recommend someone.  They recommended Excell and Rick Pobega.  I called and explained my problem and the fact that this needed to be disconnected as quick as possible because it was holding up the siding work.
I was delighted when Excell came out that very evening -- arriving at 5:00.  He not only disconnected the fan but removed the wire through the circuit box, rewired the wire to the microwave that got damaged during the first attempt to remove the fan.  He found loose wires and indicated I had an accident waiting to happen.  One spark from the loose wires behind the gas stove and i don't need to say what could have happened.  
I was very pleased with the work and the bill that followed.  Call Excell Electric and you won't be disappointed!

Rick was extremely professional and did a fantastic job.  We had used him previously to help correct some electrical issues we were having in our very old home, and he again did a fantastic job, which is why we called him back.  His prices are reasonable and the service was one of the best we've experienced.  I highly recommend him.
