Steven J. Weigand Carpenter

Had neighbor who had a mailbox built by Mr. Weigand that was beautiful.  While deciding on a new mailbox for our home asked neighbor for cost and phone number of builder.  Estimated cost (by neighbor) of around $200.  Called Mr. Weigand and got description and an estimate of $420.   I told him to go ahead with job.  While discussing the job with my wife she was not happy with the cost.  We decided to just fix the box we had and my wife called Mr. Weigand and left a message with his voicemail that we were no longer interested the following day.  Mr. Weigand called the next week and said our mailbox was complete and ready for installation.  He said he never got the message to cancel the order.  I felt that since we had not talked directly to Mr. Weigand to cancel our order it would not be fair to not honor his work.  Installed mailbox a few days later.  It is a beautiful mailbox that I have hopes will last a long time.  I believe the cost is high, but you do pay more for anything custom made.
