Overall, Mark is a true craftsman!  I would definately use him again and would highly recommend him.  We had him out for an estimate almost 1 year before we were able to make up our mind and fund this large project.  During that time, Mark would touch base with me periodically and see where we were and if he could help us in any way.  Well, our waiting paid off!  Mark called about 6-8 months later to let us know Marvin had just expanded a product line that was now available in custom sizes.  (of course we had to be custom, right?!?).  Well, he came back out, reworked the original quote and we scheduled for installation.  The windows were delivered and installed just about 6 weeks to the day. 
The windows were installed over a 4 day period.  The crew was very polite, crazy clean (i have never had a contractor this particular about my house) and very thorough!  And it seems that with any job we do here, there is always some custom work not included in the original price.  Mark and his team took care of our every need and didn't charge us a fortune.
We are definately very satisfied with our Marvin Windows and the work performed by Hanke Window and Door.

I would not recommend Hanke Doors and Windows due to his lack of customer service, lack of consideration of potential customers, and his unbelievable high prices.    The quote he gave us for installation of 15 windows in our home was am unbelievable $6,800.    I know he has to make money, but he doesn't have to make all his money from one customer!

We had a problem with one of the windows actually. He came out and instead of taking care of it just gave me a second replacement pane. He glued one of the window shut. Moreover, when we finally got it open it damaged the bottom one of those. He came back and looked at it. At first, he did not want to do anything about it but then he said he would replace the bottom part. When there was something wrong, he took care of it. I would have him back to do more stuff. The windows were of top quality. He did Marvin Windows. We were looking consumer reports, it was the top of the line. They were great windows.

We got his name from Marsh Building in Montgomery when we wanted an estimate for Marvin windows. Marvin had the best quality product yet wasn't much more expensive than the lower quality windows that we looked at. We were adding a new window so part of the estimate included opening up the wall for the new window. The price for that seemed a little high so my husband did that part of the work himself. Hanke then was able to come and install the windows promptly by working us into his schedule. We were happy with Hanke's work and professionalism.

Completed work in 8 days, as estimated. Worked with home owner and painters for effective day-to-day scheduling. Promptly restored few cases of wall damage. An extra: repaired a non-window related drywall flaw.
