NIGHTMARE! In June 2021 my wife and I paid Steve Mason, the owner of Ohio Natural Stone Works, $1,779.68 which was a deposit for our granite counters & sink. Since then they've scheduled 10 different installation dates but never show up, and never call to say they are not coming. They don't return phone calls or emails. Their salesperson, Susan Knight, will finally text us back after we've left several messages, she always has a different excuse as to why the installation is delayed, schedules a new installation date, and every time, no one shows up & they don't call to say they aren't coming. We started this process with them in Feb 2021, at that time they recommended a cabinet company, CabCon, and said they do lots of business with Mike Nagel from CabCon, gave us his business card and said after he installed the cabinets, they would come out to measure for our granite. This all started in Feb 2021! Mike Nagle measured, we paid him 50% down in Feb 2021 for the cabinets and 50% down for the labor, he cashed our checks but never ordered our cabinets & obviously never installed them. We called CabCon and they said he never ordered the cabinets or gave them the money, he personally deposited the checks into his own account, so they won't help us either. We had to pay another company to get cabinets, so in June the new cabinets were installed, Ohio Natural Stone apologized for what had happened and said they would get our counters installed within the next 2 weeks because they were sorry about what happened to us with the cabinet company that they recommended, and because of that they would put a rush our order. That was in June 2021, and today is Nov 5, 2021! Ever since then they've never shown up for the scheduled installs, do not call back, never answer their phones or respond to emails. Susan Knight will finally text us back after we've sent many texts, she still always has a new excuse, schedules a new install date and the same thing happens; they are a no-show, no-call. Susan now said she can't help us, and said we have to communicate directly with Steve Mason, the owner of Ohio Natural Stone Works. Steve will not answer his phone either and will not respond to our voicemails, texts, or emails. We have requested a refund of our deposit so we can get our granite counters elsewhere, but Steve will not respond to our requests. In looking at reviews of Ohio Natural Stone Works on other websites, we have seen that this year he has done this to many other customers too. He is taking deposits from customers knowing full well that he is not going to install the counters. I think this is illegal! One customer said he finally gave them a refund for their deposit, but when they went to his bank to cash the check, they were told by the bank that there wasn't enough money in the account to cover the check, so the check was worthless. I never trash businesses, but I don't want anyone else to go through this same nightmare that we are going through! STEVE MASON IS A THIEF and should not be allowed to operate a business! No one should trust him or his company. If you give him your money this will probably happen to you too! It's a shame though because up until about 10 months ago they had very good reviews for many years. I understand companies can fall on hard times, but then don’t take money from customers when you have no intention of delivering what your customers ordered!
