It went great! The other places we called were backed up for a week, J&J came the second morning after we called them. They had asked more questions on the phone about the problem and also Serial and Model numbers off of the refrigerator. The repairman Bruce checked out the problem and because they had asked questions on the phone, he had the part in his van. It was the starting circuit for the compressor. He also did a cleaning of the coils and compressor area while he was here.

Repair man came when I expected. Took back and top off machine. Said the bracket holding the drip was broken and the bearing were shot. Repairs could exceed cost of new machine and it could take weeks to get parts. I went out and bought a new Maytag washer. Repair man was professional and I would use this company again.

I called J&J and left a message early Monday morning. Jimmy (one of the owners) called me back about 9:20 AM and we chatted about the problem. He agreed that my diagnosis was probably correct. He asked about the general condition of the washer and the brand, etc. I told him that my wife wants it fixed and didn't want to get a new washer because she said that they aren't made as well anymore. He said that he absolutely agreed. The technician was at my house a little after 10 AM. He checked a few other things out and then took things apart. He said that the drive clutch was shot and it was clearly the original which was made of plastic with a rubber gasket. He installed a "heavy duty" replacement that is "industrial" and said it should last, well, longer than the rest of the machine. He was done in less than one hour and cleaned everything up and tested the machine to make sue that things were working well. Excellent job all around. These guys know their stuff. They are "old school" but do great work at a reasonable price.

J & J repaired our dryer 11 months ago. I felt misled. Price originally quoted ended up close to double as an additional part was gas. The tech had told us he was 95% sure we wouldn't need both parts replaced. Well, we did and spent nearly $400 repairing a 12-13 year old dryer. Had we have known that up front before we got into the repair, we would simply have replaced the dryer. Also, their listings & ads claim they accept credit cards.... the tech/owner insisted on a check. We're nearly one year since the repair and our dryer is starting to act up again, and it's the same problem we gad before.

J&J went to a rental property of mine to repair a broken washing machine. They were courteous and communicated well, and called to explain the issues and cost with the machine to seek my approval before moving forward with the pump replacement. I will definitely use them again.

I am not sure if it was a good price, once they are there you feel stuck. I don't think they really tested anything else. I think they are fine, I would use them again. They were prompt and the pricing seemed decent with your thing. They fixed it right away and it was there when I needed it. They did the job and cleaned up. I was thinking I needed a second opinion and getting a lower cost and he was like well you know you have to pay me $120 for coming anyway and I was like well if I could get it cheaper but still have to pay the $120, I just did not like how he handled it, almost like haha you are stuck instead of presenting it better. I did like that he was available right away.

The dryer required a replacement part. J & J appliance kept me apprised of the status of the order and they promptly installed the replacement as soon as it arrived.

Great. The repair man made it out the same afternoon. He gave me an honest assessment of the problem - a bad compressor motor and damaged compressor. He showed me how the freezer coils were only working at about 25%. He told me that it was $400 to replace the motor but that would not take care of the damage to the compressor. His assessment was that I should buy a new one (after all, the fridge is 24 years old) and he gave me some advice on products. He got the fridge running, using a window fan, until I could get a new one.

A friend of mine gave me their name, but then, I went on Angie’s List and verified that he was in there. I would tell a friend not to hesitate to use them. They did a good job. They were very nice. When they were out here doing all my stuff, the power went out. I did not know until the next day. He could have taken my money and run, but the next day when the power came on, my oven was working fine. The garage light was working fine. Everything was working fine.

I called Jand J to see if they could fix my ice maker. 2 of the back prongs were broken off and it wasn't making ice like it should. Within an hour Buck was here to hook me up! He checked everything, he chipped off the built up ice, he replaced the ice maker, and cleaned under my refridgerator. He even gave me a tip about my lint trap on the dryer! I thought the price was a bit high, but all in all, since I am addicted to eating ice, it was well worth it! Very nice and professional gentleman who knows what he's doing! I have already recommended him to some family members.
