Hi Point Home Inspection

I have no idea how this home inspector got on Angie's List.  Thankfully, my boyfriend's father was able to be at the home inspection as I had to work through most of it and show up at the end.  When his father arrived at the location, 35 minutes after the inspection was supposed to start, Mark was sitting in his car on the phone.  He did not even bring a ladder, how did he expect to make an informed decision of the roof without going up there? This showed me that he was not prepared, and clearly not there to give a quality home inspection.  I feel like I just gave away 300 bucks.  He is in a profession that affects people's lives; buying a house is one of the biggest decisions most people will make in their lifetime.  There is nothing of importance in his report and he was there for 3 hours; he did not catch half of the problems we already knew about from when we first looked at the house.  My step dad walked around the house in 10 minutes and had a list of very specific items that needed to be addressed. Unfortunately, since most of it is not in the report, it makes it more difficult to get the seller to make the changes.  He is clearly only after your money. At the end of the inspection he did not have a copy of the "contract" so now I have the burden of copying it and sending it to him; very unprofessional. I would not recommend him to anyone as a home inspection should not be taken lightly and people need someone who will go through the house thoroughly, has some integrity in their line of work, and want to do the right thing for others. 

Mark inspected our outside, then the whole inside including basement & attic.  Went over the results with us & made notes.  Very professional, and did a great job.
