TOM'S MULCH & TOPSOIL

I had topsoil delivered to fill in areas for grass seeding. The topsoil had lots of grave/rocks. Contacted Tom's Mulch for a resolution - to sift the topsoil for gravel and add additional topsoil. Judd, the owner, eventually contacted me and was very short. He came out to my house but never rung the bell. He said they will not being offering up any help. Now I find myself with gravel/rocks and there is no way grass is growing in these areas. I was taken back at how the owner handled the issue. He offered no apology for inferior product and no resolution. He arugued with me and was extremely hostile. He also mentioned the company had been in business 40 years and social media posts would not harm the company. I disagree. His attitude and customer service are the worse I have ever been exposed

They provide high quality work, but are not responsive, and sometimes don't complete tasks. They installed a beautiful stone walkway, but failed to mulch the gardens, weed, trimming, pruning, and edge. It's been two weeks since thay finished the walk, but still no mulch.

Work was all excellent, friendly, professional employees. Everything was great except they can be a bit schedule challenged.

The delivery was on time and placed where I asked the mulch to be placed.

The workers are very punctual and do a good job.  I highly recommend Tom's Mulch & Topsoil.

Unsatisfactory - they didn't complete the job in accordance with the contract.  In addition to the partially completed job, they also tore out at least $100 worth of existing flowers despite assurances they would leave existing plants.

When I called their project manager about finishing the job, he became irritated and insisted they did the job as contracted.   He eventually agreed to come back and complete the job, but complained he was losing money on the project.  He then told me their company would never do work for us again.  The workers subsequently returned and finished the majority of the contracted work.  I gave up trying to get them to complete the job...not worth the aggravation.

I called the owner to give him feedback on the poor job and the unprofessional behavior displayed by his project manager. He said he would talk to the project manager to get his side of the story, however I never heard back from the owner.  

There is no excuse for the poor customer service we received from Tom's Mulch.  The only thing I seemingly did wrong was to insist they complete the job.  At no point did I become disrespectful or angry.  The project manager's response (and lack thereof by the owner)  was completely unwarranted.  

We do agree on one thing at least -- I will not do business with Tom's Mulch again.

THEY WORK HARD AND KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. THEY ARE A GREAT COMPANY. THEY ARE ALSO VERY CUSTOMER FRIENDLY AND LISTEN TO A CUSTOMER AND THEIR NEEDS.

GOSH, THEY WERE AWESOME. THEY WERE PROFESSIONAL. THEY ALWAYS HAVE IT DONE QUICKLY, BUT THEY DO A GOOD JOB. THEY CLEAN UP WHEN THEY ARE DONE. THEY ALWAYS DO A GREAT JOB.

TOMS DID A GREAT JOB ON OUR YARD. THERE WASN'T A SINGLE LEAF LEFT ON OUR YARD ONCE THEY WERE FINISHED. I WAS REALLY SURPRISED AT HOW EVERYTHING TURNED OUT. TOMS IS A VERY RELIABLE COMPANY.
