Absolutely great

This company was contracted by Home Depot to install the countertop. Overall, the quality and appearance is nice. They guys who did the install showed up on time, were very professional and finished quickly. 
My overall problem with this company, and therefore reason for the bad grade, is their communication and customer service. The woman who scheduled the installation is just not very nice. She was rude on the phone, gave conflicting information and was not easy to work with. Once we finally worked out the install date, the first stone they ordered cracked. The manager of the install called to inform and then gave me a hard time about rescheduling and again, was rude. He finally put me in touch with the general manager, Joe, who was great. He listened, corrected the issues and worked everything out. I had to call three times the day before the install to get confirmation they would be out. 
If it had not been for Joe the GM being nice and easy to work with, I would have cancelled my order as I was so disappointed in the other people in the office.

It was a horrible experience ending with one of the sinks stoneworks installed detaching from the new counter, collapsing and causing a pipe to separate which poured water all over my brand new kitchen and down into the basement. The double sink had zero supports on either of the two long sides and the supports on the two ends were very flimsy. This was the final error after 3 months of problem after problem. They did not template until three weeks after being paid. The first two installation dates were cancelled by Stoneworks. They finally began the installation 7 weeks after being paid. They were two hours late the day they finally arrived to install. 6 pieces were measured incorrectly and did not fit. Corners on some pieces were not properly rounded. I was without a working sink and cooktop for ten days due to the fact that pieces had to be taken back to be re-cut or could not be installed. The first two appointments to complete the install were cancelled after we waited hours for them to arrive. For example, they were to arrive between 9 and 1 and finally called that day at 1:30 to say they had known since the day before they would be canceling the appointment- but hadn't called us. When they did return to complete the install, the granite backsplash- which they measured twice- was over 6" too short. Because of the way they cut-up the 3 slabs of granite we had purchased- they didn't have any more granite. They finally completed the installation 3 months after we paid them. A week after that the sink collapsed. Those are just the highlights of our experience.

We were told that we would be compensated with a refund of at least all we had paid except for the actual material cost. We were then shuffled to a new general manager-he said he started three weeks ago- who told me there would be an offer from him for compensation after I detailed the issues and he looked into it. I sent a 5 page detailed account. For two weeks he told me repeatedly he would have the offer "tomorrow". No offer was ever made by the company. He is not responding to my calls or emails.

Great company to work with.  Very professional, quality product and installation.

This is the second time that we have gotten granite counter tops from Stoneworks. The first through Home Depot. Since they did such an excellent job, we decided to go straight to them this time for our new house. All the employees there are very knowledgeable, nice, and courteous. Reasonable pricing. They came and measured, made a nice template, we picked out the stone, and then they installed. The installation itself did not take long at all. The workers were very informative on how to care for the counter tops. Our kitchen looks stunning!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY...   This is the most incompetant company I have ever had to deal with in my life.    First they broke my granite countertop and left me without a sink, dishwasher and countertop for over three weeks (during the christmas holidays).   New slab was delivered and installed Christmas Eve and was cracked in several places but I was told an onsite repair would be made the following Monday.    The guy came out and filled in about 7-8 cracks/ gouges in the granite.    The fix made the cracks less noticeable.    At this point, I accepted the defects in return for a discount.    Most people would not pick them up right away but I know where they are and I see them every day. 
I have been waiting two months for backsplash to be installed.   First appt. truck broke down and they had to cancel.   Second appt.  they showed up with the wrong tile.    Not even close to what I picked out.    A month later, they send another guy out with the exact same tile that was wrong the  first time.    WHAT???   If it wasn't right the first time, then why would you send it back out??    Then the company tries to tell me that its natural stone and that color variations occer.   Yep, I get that.   However, the one I ordered was dark brown and grey contrasted with white and a yellow/orangish color.   4 distinct contrasting colors.     The one they brought out was pee yellow.    No contrast, no variations - just pee yellow.     1000 times different and not even remotely close to what I ordered. 
This company takes no accountability and uses excuses about the nature of the material to negate any responsibility on their end.   I would not use this company even if they offered their products and services for free.    This has been one of most uterly and monumentous disasters I have ever encountered and would like to save anyone from going through the fiasco I have gone through with this company.

We went on Angie's List for the install, but when Stoneworks actually came the day of the install, they did a fantastic job. They were very, very meticulous in everything that they did on our countertop. We can't tell where the seams are. We just thought they did a fantastic job. They came and put in our countertop exactly as it was ordered. We have a little bit of a backsplash in. They talked to my husband if there was anything we had a question about. They cleaned up after themselves so I didn't have to do that. There were explicit instructions on what we needed to do within the next 24 hours. They told us that it would have to be rewiped down and rebuffed because they had actually resealed everything. It was sealed before they came but then after installing it, they put another layer of seal on it. They told me that in the next 24 hours it is going to haze over and told me not to worry about it. They explained everything that we should and should not use on our countertop. They were very explicit in the care of our countertop. They told us not to let anybody stand on our countertop because the natural material would crack. Most times they get called because somebody stood on the countertop to get something out of the cupboard instead of using a chair or a ladder. They said that we don't have to worry about juices or anything like that, but I might want to watch oils. Oil cannot get into the granite but we can end up with an oil ring or something like that. They were really good in that aspect. There were 2 guys and he told us who they were. He said he had an apprentice with him and he introduced him. We were really happy with it. They were very good with the pricing. Nobody can top the professionalism of the installers. They were very professional when they were here. They asked us if we had any questions so we were very happy with the installers.

We were never able to make contact with them to even set up an appointment to template the countertops. No one answers the phone at their number. It goes directly to an answering machine that says someone will return your call within 24 hours. They don't call back within 24 hours. It felt like we were getting a stall tactic. After a week of no contact we went back to Home Depot and asked for our money back.

We went to the showroom and worked with a disorganized salesperson who recorded our phone number incorrectly, and therefore delayed the project as we waited for a call to schedule the installation. We tried on several occasions to correct the phone number, but it was never corrected. Measurements were finally taken, the existing countertop was removed, the granite top arrived, incorrectly sized. It was re-cut and installed the next day. Because of the way they measured for the new top there were significant gaps between the existing backsplash and the counter, so we had to pick out a transitional tile to cover the gap......an unexpected cost. The salesperson was NOT helpful with the selection of this transitional molding, very unorganized and not all that willing to help us with different options. She was unprepared for our scheduled appointment.....We did end up finding an expectable solution after pushing her and ordered. We received the order missing several pieces. The salesperson was not helpful. The tile installer we chose called the warehouse and they were able to locate the missing pieces.
I love the counter. The installers were very professional. The salesperson was terrible and communication between divisions seemed poor. As a result, I would prefer to not deal with this company again. I think they are better dealing with contractors and not the public.

From start to finish it was the best company we worked with during our remodeling process. The company had a wonderfull selection and one of the best sales/ designers we have come acrossed. The company called the day before to make sure we were ready for the template on the kitchen tops. The next day a templator came to our job site and showed us why we were not ready, he said if you can have the carpenters take care of the items he would he reroute his day and come back later. Later that day he came back and was able to work around our schedule. The gentleman was helpful and polite. He spent his time to educate us and help us understand the process. 2weeks later the install team called while they were on their way and asked if we wanted a cup of coffee. Wow. Impressive. I must say Burt the installer and his team were so professional and great at what they do. The granite tops look awesome

These are the rudest people I have ever met. What a horrible company. Bad attitude, bad customer service, snotty, stuck up assistants, no follow up, remote and aloof managers/owners, very expensive product backed by bad service. They were totally unhelpful when it came to the selection process. I was told that "most clients arrive with their decorator". Which means what? My $10,000 was not valuable? I will never, ever go back to Stoneworks again even if I have to drive to another city to buy stone or tile. The whole attitude of the place is that you should be grateful to be there rather than the other way around. My prediction is that the day there is an alternative, Stoneworks will be suffering a loss of business. They messed up my order, never communicated with me, and did not apologize. They were late and then cut my stone wrong, damaged pieces and never told me that my order was shorted due to them damaging the stone when they cut it. I think the only reason they get away with this act is because there aren't many alternatives in Cleveland and they have a good selection. But, knowing what I know now, I'll be shopping in Pittsburgh or Columbus for my next projects - all the bathrooms.

The product was not ready on time. The salesperson was nice, but disorganized. This was a "cut to dimensions" project based on a template made by my remodeling contractor. After going back a second time to get the product, I found that it was not made correctly: sink was in the wrong place and wrong side was polished. After much discussion they agreed to remake it. The remade top also did not fit the sink. Stoneworks blamed it on the template, but I was there when the template was made and confirmed it was made correctly. I will never recommend Stoneworks and I will never work with Stoneworks again.

Overall the experience went well. We are thinking about having our kitchen countertops redone and I would definitely take a trip out to Stoneworks again. The sales representative was very accommodating. The receptionist also did the scheduling and she was polite. From start to finish, Stoneworks provided great service and a beautiful product.

We are extremely satisfied with the products, service, and installation of all the granite surfaces. The Stoneworks team called the day before and then the morning before the installation date to confirm the time. A team of four showed up to bring in the granite and get it to the locations within the house. We had some narrow passages and difficult/tight installation situations but they made it look like a breeze. Kevin and Jerry stayed behind to complete the installation process and seal the stone and they were both extremely competent and pleasant. The total amount of time involved with installation was about 4 hours. We plan to have them install granite counters in our bathrooms in the next 3 or 4 months and will also be purchasing glass tile from them for other projects we have. I will definitely recommend them to a friend or family member!

I met with a designer last winter who was very helpful in selecting tiles. she needed to order samples from a catelogue, but they never came in. i was told by another designer (3 months later) that the style had been discontinued but the first designer had never called to tell me. I wasted alot of time with this firm---but their tiles are beautiful. too bad the help didn't match up. They really didn't seem to want my business.

The service went really well. The work was actually contracted through a larger company. They were pretty attentive. They came out on time. The workers were polite, and they cleaned up. They did what they said they were going to do. There was a bit of a problem with what my wife thought was a chip in the granite, and they came right out to deal with it and adjust some things.

Freight charges were a surprise. Recommend getting shipping charges in advance.

We went to Stoneworks to see their beautiful show room, which was the best I had ever seen. I was promptly greeted by someone who assisted us and showed us around. They have a huge selection of tile and granite, way better than I had ever anticipated. We finally decided on a beautiful slab of granite which was outside the showroom and they put our name on it. We were put on their schedule to have someone come out to make a template for our countertops. We received a phone call from Domenic when he was on his way to our home. He arrived right on time and he was very professional and courteous. He removed his shoes when entering our home and went right to work. He paid a lot of attention to detail and went above and beyond our expectations. We waited the amount of time that they said it would take for our stone to be fabricated and then received a phone call to be put on the schedule for the installation. When the crew came to install, they were also very polite and professional. There was no mess after they left and no problems occurred during the install. We were left with a beautiful kitchen. The stone was made to perfection and we just love it. We would definitely have Stoneworks do work for us again. The staff at Stoneworks were all so very nice and professional, we definitely got our money's worth and then some.

The color of the concrete top produced did not match the sample initially provided, reportedly had 2 different samples of the same color. In addition, the sink template used was incorrect. After much argument, they agreed to remake the counter tops. We, however, compromised on the color choice as they were not able to replicate the initial sample choice. In the interim we used a makeshift sink in plywood. Three months later, the tops were installed. Subsequently, there were problems with excessive staining of the tops (within a year of placement). They recommended resealing the tops, in the process, they used a "special' product to remove the stains. The product in fact worsened the stain. Again after much argument, they offered us a +/- $1500 discount to have the tops changed to granite. We elected not to spend anymore money with the company and kept the concrete tops. After about one and a half years, a portion of the top has "sunk" at the seam creating a step-up in the counter tops.

I initially was going to spend far more money on a custom granite countertop. I was then informed by the sales rep Deb that there were other more affordable options available. I then ordered a pre-fab vanity countertop. Shortly after ordering the countertop I decided to change my mind on the color. Even though they had already received the countertop from the vendor, they allowed me to change my order. Once the second countertop came in I was not happy with the color. Without hesitation Deb said I could look again and find something that worked better. This company was outstanding! They never tried to charge me for changing my order, and were willing to spend a great deal of time with me to make sure I was happy. I would highly recommend this company to anyone.

We're satisfied now, but we had to go through a lot to get here. Stoneworks doesn't have a good selection of granite. Their granite was not good quality. They told us to go to Mont Granite (who has a better selection) to pick out stones. Stoneworks did a nice job cutting the countertops before they arrived at our house. They made an honest mistake and cut one of the sinks too large. The big issue we had w/them was the mess they made when they came to install. We weren't prepared to have granite cut in our house, but they had to cut out the piece for the cook-top. They didn't put plastic over the doorways and granite powder went all over our 1st floor. The slides on our new cabinet drawers below the cook-top were ruined with granite dust. When I called to complain, the production manager came out and met my husband at my house. He said, "How do I know that is our dust?" We had spent the whole previous weekend cleaning and knew it was theirs. I wouldn't use them again.

THEY WERE A LIFE SAVER, BECAUSE I THOUGHT I COULD NOT GET THIS TILE WITHOUT PAYING A $90 SHIPPING CHARGE FOR $340 WORTH OF TILE. I HAD TO CALL TO MAKE SURE THE ORDER WAS IN.

THERE TILES AND GRANITE ARE BEAUTIFUL. THEY ARE VERY PERSONABLE AND PATIENT WITH SOMEONE WHO CHANGES THEIR MIND. I THOUGHT THAT MICHELE M. WAS AWESOME WITH A GREAT EYE FOR DESIGN. I USED THEM BECAUSE MY BUILDER CHOSE THEM TO SUPPLY MY NEW HOME. MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS COST. THE MENTIONED COST REFLECTS CERAMIC ONLY AS THE BUILDER PAID FOR THE GRANITE IN THE KITCHEN. I WOULD HAVE GOTTEN GRANITE IN THE BATHROOM BUT IT WAS TOO EXPENSIVE. I'VE DEFINITELY SEEN GRANITE FOR LESS. THEY ALSO CHARGE YOU $250 EVERY TIME THEY COME TO YOUR HOUSE.

I WAS WORKING THROUGH MY BUILDER FOR THIS SELECTION AND THE OFFICE STAFF OF THIS COMPANY DID NOT COMMUNICATE WITH ME DIRECTLY UNTIL THERE WAS AN ISSUE. THEY WANTED ME TO SELECT THE STONE WHILE IT WAS STILL DIRTY AND UNPOLISHED SITTING OUTSIDE THE BUILDING AND ASKED THAT I SIGN PAPERS ON THIS SELECTION. THEY WANTED ME TO BRING MY DISHWASHER AND RANGE INTO MY UNFINISHED AND UNSECURED HOME SO THEY COULD MAKE A TEMPLATE. NEITHER THE BUILDER NOR THE COMPANY WANTED TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE APPLIANCES IF SOMETHING HAPPENED. ONCE I MOVED IN AND BEGAN CLEANING THE COUNTER, I SAW THAT THERE WAS AND STILL IS WRITING IN THE CORNER OF THE COUNTER AND MINOR CHIPS ON THE EDGE WHERE TWO PIECES MEET. WHEN YOU PAY A LOT OF MONEY FOR A PRODUCT YOU WANT IT TO BE TOP NOTCH. I DON'T KNOW IF THIS IS STANDARD PROTOCOL FOR STONE COMPANIES, BUT BECAUSE OF THIS I WILL NOT WORK WITH THEM AGAIN.

THEY KNOW GOOD INSTALLERS TOO!!!!
