On Thursday, oct. 24, heavy snowfall brought down huge tree limbs, which tore out the power line from the wall & damaged the meter. As we were responsible for reinstalling the power line, Illuminating Co, technician gave me the name and number of Ollie Moorer SR. I called Ollie Thursday night with a message and checked again Friday morning at 8:0 a.m. Ollie promised to come in an hour and a half. He arrived with his crew of 3 on the dot and started work. He went off to City Hall for a permit. His crew picked up downed line from under the debris and by noon we had power. By 3:30 the same day our meter was installed and the power was fully functional. I was amazed and deeply grateful. Our outage lasted for a little more than 24 hours.
Ollie has a speech impediment and it's not always easy to understand him, but he knows what he is doing, and works with skill and confidence. The crew was especially considerate, helping me open my garage door while the power was out.
