Fixzit Man was prompt, polite, and informative. Fix the heating unit that would not start at the beginning of the fall season. Cleaned parts got it up and running within an hour.

The repairman came out and gave me a verbal estimate of $223 to repair the leak in my shower and put on a new shower handle. I agreed to the price and he came back out that evening to replace the needed parts since the handle was at the shop. When the repairman returned, he was on a personal call on his cell phone the whole time he did the repair. When he finished, he again told me the cost of $223. After I wrote the check, he told me and my husband not to use the shower because there was a sleeve missing (an internal part). Without this part, our shower would leak into the wall. He did not have the part with him and would need to come out later in the week. The next day, I received a call from the repairman that this sleeve would cost me an additional $85 to buy and install. I argued that I was given an estimate and felt that the shower should be repaired for the original price of $223. After much back and forth (which included him telling me he could refund my money if he came to my house and uninstall my shower handle), we finally agreed on an extra $50. After getting everything installed, I finally get into the shower. Imagine my surprise when I turn on the shower and the handle was installed backwards! When pointing toward the hot, I got cold water and vice versa. Once again the repairman had to come out and fix the issue. At least this time I wasn't charged. It took a total of 4 visits to put in a new handle! I Andy gave this service a "C" because the repair was done eventually and he did show up on time (all 4 times). I will not use this service again.

I had to fill in whether or not I would use this company again. You need to add a "Maybe" category. Even though I would probably use them again, I will probably shop around for a more competitive price.

They are very honest and trustworthy. They cleaned up afterwards as well. I would not hesitate to call them again. For scheduled time, they call me to give me heads up, so I can still go about my day while I wait for them.

My heat stopped working on Saturday. I called FIXIT MAN as I had used them in the past. They wanted $199 service call fee b/c it was a saturday. So I called another company and found this was common policy (which I think is ludicrous but I won't get started on that). We bundled up and waited until Monday when the service fee is only $39. I called first thing Monday morning, the office paged out the call and he called back very quickly. He came over first thing, which was before 8am! He diagnosed the problem but didn't have the part to fix it right away. He called back a little after 11am and was back with the part to complete the job. It took him 35 min to get the heat back on. YEA! Just in time for my kids naps.

I originally called Johnson Heating in to deal with a failed pilot light on the furnace in my house. Upon the arrival of their representative, I learned (not very much to my surprise) that the furnace was the original with the house (over 40 years old!), and that the heat exchanger had all but rusted through, was dangerous, and should be replaced. I agreed. The Johnson Heating rep presented me with a number of replacement options and explained each one, not in excruciating detail but enough to understand the significant differences. After I made my choice, the rep also offered me six-months-same-as-cash financing, which was very welcome. He even loaned us a few electric space heaters to keep us warm overnight, as the furnace was no longer safe to use. The new furnace was installed the next day roughly a 5-hour process. The installation personnel were VERY professional and considerate of the house, spreading plastic to keep from dirtying the house and (I think) wearing booties. The installers explained what was going on and didn't mind my occasional questions or kibitzing. They also recommended air filters for use with the furnace to improve its performance and minimize maintenance issues. Overall, their performance was first class.
Since that time, I have also had them in on an air conditioning issue. Their rep solved one problem quickly, and actually suggested that he delay checking out the balance on the A/C, since the exterior temperature was not high enough to gain the best results. Again, first-class service.

I was able to get an appointment the same day I called and he arrived a little early. He wore shoe protectors and was extremely thorough, checking various parts of the system to be sure all were functioning properly. He seemed almost apologetic that it was so easy to fix, but I was quite happy that the fix was quick and easy. And well worth the money in terms of my peace of mind!

The service call went well. Mr. Fixzit arrived promptly, evaluated my furnace and got me going quickly. We even discussed options for the future. The price felt high but is likely a fair one given the age of the furnace and the parts replaced.

I felt confident that they recommended features we needed and recommended us away from features we didn’t. I’m allergic to mold and I very much appreciate the UV light they recommended and the easy to clean and change filters. I will continue to use them in the future.

They were absolutely wonderful. They had patience in order to tell me what needed to be done and why it costs this and things like that. They thought they were going to have to dig something out because of the way my house is built. When they got in there, it wasn't as difficult as they thought. They didn't charge me and I thought that was great. I felt like he was honest. He was very punctual. Their price was reasonable, but I think everybody charges too much.

They had installed a new furnace and air conditioner three years ago. They quoted a price when they came out here to put in the furnace and the A/C, but when they got into the work they decided that it wasn't going to cost that much. I appreciated their honesty. I don't think they charged me anything the last time because everything was new and it was included in my contract, but I am not quite sure.
