Sold fill dirt saying it had only minimal rocks up to the size of your fist... full of giant boulders, mortered together bricks, pipe, wire, and screws. I specifically stated I was not interested in construction fill dirt. I am a middle aged woman with MS. I will now have to pay someone to move this dirt for me since it is impossible to shovel into a wheel barrow.

For whatever reason, I was snobbed by Danzey and they tended to plow my neighbor's driveway and skipped mine. When it happened the first time, I thought that they were just negligent. So I offered a sense of humor and gave them a slap on the wrist. Then it happened the second time, the third time... until I realized that they completely, possibly intentionally, failed to deliver the service I paid for. As a result, my family experienced many inconveniences due to the undrivable condition of my driveway. My advise is run as far away as you can from any contractor like this.

Even though we weren't happy with the quality of the plowing last season, I have revised some of the grades and we are giving them another shot for the upcoming 2015-16 snow season. Bottom line, we tried contacting four other plowing services with absolutely horrible results as far as responsiveness, price, and professionalism. When I called Mac to inquire about trying them again for plowing this year, he called back within a very short time (approx. 30 minutes), listened to my concerns, and explained how he felt they could improve things this year. So, we are giving them another chance, and I am encouraged that they will indeed do a better job this year. (Below is my original review about last year's experience.)
They showed up consistently (as per the contract), so we were pleased about that. However, the quality of the work was lacking:
1. They only plowed about a lane and a half of the drive - making it impossible to get in/out of either side of our garage! We regularly had to spend lots of our own time shoveling extra just to be able to get in/out! (We have a triple width drive and the contract called for the double width area in front of the 2 single garage doors be plowed. They could use the entire third lane to pile the snow.)
2. They regularly left about six feet of snow unplowed in front of the garage doors. This was a problem as my 90-year-old father relies on senior transportation van rides when my sister or I cannot take him to appointments. It was hazardous for him to navigate through the snow to get to his van ride.
3. When my father called to complain, it seemed more like they were making excuses for their driver - there's been lots of snow this year, etc., etc. - than trying to address his concerns.
4. They damaged the framing around our garage door - we had just gotten the aluminum framing smoothed out and repainted the previous spring, but at some point, the plow added new dents and scraped off paint in spots - it looks terrible again! Perhaps after my father complained, the driver attempted to get closer, but got too close and inflicted the damage. (We think a highly rated plow service should be able to get within a foot or two of the garage without actually banging into the house/garage and causing damage. Admittedly, we didn't witness their plow causing the damage, but no one else plowed our drive.)

This is the first year I've used Danzy's snowplowing service. I though they did a great job. They plowed the drive several times a day when the snow was heavy. I expecially like the fact that the driver didn't push the snow forward crushing my bushes. I have an and quot;Land quot; shaped drive and he was very good at clearing in front of the garage which is hard to do. He also did not block the front door with heavy snow piles. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to friends.

I have used Danzy services for more than one season. I originally contacted them through finding them on Angie's list. I was sent a contract to review and return, which I did. Then as soon as the snow started falling, plowing began. I am very happy with their service.

He was reasonable price. Very friendly and on time. Answered the phone when I called him.

Mostly satisfactory, although the plow does not come as often as we would like. Sometimes the drivers clear everything, but other times they miss the part where we back out of the garage to turn around. They have a set season and removal before or after the set dates results in additional charges. They have caused damage to the lawn and most recently to our garage door. They have repaired the damages.

The owner was very professional. He did all he promised to do. The only problem was his men used a Bobcat on treads that chewed up some of my lawn but he did fill them in and seeded them as well. He had a number of Hispanic men who very hard to communicate with because the spoke very little English. Because he was so busy it was hard to pin him down on when he could come out and do the job. The job was done completely and they did not leave any mess after they left.

OVERALL I WAS HAPPY WITH THE SERVICE. I WAS NOT LIVING AT THE HOME BECAUSE I HAD ALREADY MOVED AND WAS IN THE PROCESS OF SELLING IT. I WANTED SOMEONE TO MOW THE LAWN EACH WEEK SO THAT THE HOUSE WOULD HAVE GOOD CURB APPEAL. I NEVER SAW THEM PERFORMING THE ACTUAL SERVICE BUT I DID SEE THEIR RESULTS. THE LAWN ALWAYS LOOKED WELL MAINTAINED WHENEVER I STOPPED BY THE HOUSE.
