Designer Accents at Home

This business was sold to a new owner a year ago so keep that in mind when you read a prior review. It now goes by Designer Accents located on Commerce in Beachwood. Their work is sloppy. I have holes in my walls and window molding due to improper measuring and installation and they act like its not a big deal ("we are human") on a $5000. custom blind and drapery job. Even the owner is non responsive. Save yourself alot of aggravation and use someone else.

I went to Miles Park Window Treatments because it was one of the few places that listed blinds repair and actually did the repair.  Several others I went to said they would have to send the blinds out.  When I arrived I was greeted promptly and the individual looked over my mini wood blinds.  He gave me what I believed to be a fair price of $30 for repairing the blinds.  Within a week I received a call that the blinds were restrung and ready to be picked up.  Since then I have had then restring 2 other set of mini wood blinds and would not hesitate to use them.

They are very friendly and helpful. It didn't take very long.

Estimates provided were prompt and accurate. Bob suggested just the right room-darkening shades for our bedroom and did a superb job of perfectly matching both the style and color of the existing blinds in our living room. All the work was done expertly and on time, greatly enhancing both the beauty and the comfort of our home. After a guest broke the cord on one of our blinds, Miles Park repaired it at no charge.

We had two pleated shades with broken strings. They gave us an estimate over the phone, and fixed the shades within the stated time. They were very helpful in explaining how to remove the shades and how to rehang them after they were fixed.

Great experience.  NIce to see there are still some companies thaat offer great customer service.

The installer came on time and was very professional.  He isntalled the shutters quickly and neatly.

Professional but not quick to correct a problem.  Installation was well done but it did take some of my time to correct their mistake.

It was fast and I did not have to worry about follow-up - Bob must set the record in installation - plan on going to showroom to do some other rooms - highly recommend

I had purchased cellular shades several years ago from a company that no longer has stores in Northeast Ohio. The shades were large (for double windows) and expensive. I had problems with the pull cords or the release mechanisms (I wasn't sure which) on two of my shades : I could no longer raise or lower one of the shades. The other shade would only raise and lower on one side. Two companies that I contacted to repair these shades were not willing to work on shades that they did not manufacture or sell. They suggested that either I send the shades to the original company (in California) or purchase new ones. I finally called Miles Park Window Treatments and left a message. Bob returned my call within hours, came to my house the next day, took the shades to his workplace and returned them fully functional in about a week.

I stopped by their showroom to get ideas and information and had him come to my home to measure and quote. I had another quote from another company and he came down in price to align it with the other quote. He was prompt, courteous and professional and assured me if anything needed attention afterward, that he would take care of it.

He was helpful in choosing the product. He came out to measure on time. He delivered the product which was what I wanted at the appointed time. I am happy with it. It was very easy and successful transaction.

The shades on the door need to be clamped at the bottom. The mechanism is very cheaply made and I called him to have it fixed. He came and stated he did not have the parts and he would be back, he has not returned. This was before christmas time. I called and spoke with Nancy, his partner she apologised and stated she would pass along the message and I have not heard from them since. The first time I called him he stated that Nancy did not give him the message. I have called three times now. The most recent call was last week. I have not from them since.

I ordered two cellular shades for my kitchen and dining room. They are a Hunter Douglas dealer and there are so many products to choose from and they just made it really simple for me to choose and to order. They came out and measured and installed and it was all included in the price!

Overall the experience was fast, cost effective with great quality and professionalism.

This company was great to deal with. The president knew his job & how to help people get what they needed for the job.

Upon visiting the showroom, the owner showed me a number of books in the Hunter Douglas line that have the desired opacity, color and operation. Though I had brought the old shade with me, he suggested that he come to my home to measure to make certain the fit would be precise. The following business day he met me at my home with appropriate swatch books for the function and look desired; he measured the area and quoted me a price. Within two weeks, he called to set up an installation appointment and was punctual and precise in his installation work. All told, a two-week turnaround time is great for custom-ordered AND installed window treatments.

He came on time to give an estimate and was very professional. The shades arrived when expected and he installed them.

From the time we went into the store, Bob was very informative about what was available for our described needs. Came out to estimate with samples...gave some good advice about fabrics.from the time we decided until installation was only about 2 wks. We are more than happy with the finished job. There was a problem with the TV room shades that Bob promptly (same day) came out and remedied assuring us that we could feel free to call if anything else occurred.
