This review is about the horrendous experience that we had with Aunt Becky, owner of Aunt Becky's Pet care. Specifically, her reply and attacks in response to the previous review posted about the injury that occurred to our dog. Admittedly it has been very difficult during our dog's recovery (which she is still going through), which is why this review is somewhat delayed. The matter is simple really - our dog was injured while she was under the care of Aunt Becky. However, the matter and Aunt Becky's response has gone beyond the scope of human decency - which compelled me to post this review. There are many false statements that have been attempted to be passed as truth. The one I feel really needs to be pointed out is the suggestion of demand of money. Again, the matter is simple: after this terrible event occurred, an understanding was made between us and the business owner. When this was changed and backtracked by the owner, I felt it was reasonable to question those actions. Also, we dealt with Aunt Becky as pet parents and owners. It's appalling that the business owner felt it necessary to drag my profession into her aspersed response. Our fellow pet owners should be aware - a public smear may be the least of your concerns. Also, the use of our dog's image to promote her business after this injury is just cruel. This was a horrible tragedy that we are still dealing with daily. Unfortunately, Aunt Becky has cast aside all sincerity and decency. We hope this never happens to another pet parent/owner.

Went very well. Aunt Becky is super knowledgeable and very professional. It is amazing to me how she just “has a way”with dogs. Almost as if she speaks their language. Not only did my dog stay at her house, but Aunt Becky also stopped by my home every day, checked the mail and watered my plants. With no family around, I honestly don’t know what I would do without her.

Aunt Becky has not only taking care of my baby since the day I got her, she has also given me the tools I needed to make her a great dog. I had me replacement surgery last year and she cut my dog for an entire month. She came home so will behaved I was not even sure was the same dog. I would never leave my dog with anyone else. Aunt Becky is amazing!

OUR EXPERIENCE WITH AUNT BECKY WAS A NIGHTMARE!!! Hopefully this never happens to anyone else. Our dog’s arm was broken while under Becky’s care. We had to cut our vacation short and rush home because our dog required urgent specialized surgery. Two different bones, the radius and ulna, were completely fractured in half. Becky’s explanation as to how this happened was vague and something seemed amiss especially as it was reiterated that she didn’t see what happened. Our dog is now in a cast for at least 6 weeks, not to mention the multitude of other appointments and complications that are a result of this incident. The whole experience has been extremely traumatic. Initially, in multiple conversations, Becky apologized and offered to pay for the entire cost of our dog’s surgical care. Additionally, she stated multiple times that her own paperwork (which she will ask you to sign if you use her) didn’t matter and she would pay for everything. My favorite statement was when she said that if this were her own dog, she would be angry and would fully expect the caretaker to pay for everything. Unfortunately, when it was time to actually pay the bill, Becky decided not to uphold what she had offered and what we had all agreed upon. Becky made several false statements contradicting what she promised us and pretended that our previous agreement never happened. We were in disbelief that this was happening because she had told us so many times that she would pay for everything. Becky then made an offer to pay for a small portion of the financial cost. She also had the audacity to give us a two-day ultimatum to accept her offer, or it would be “rescinded”. The total payment that we accepted covered less than half of our dog’s total expenses. Since the day of surgery, Becky has not even bothered to ask how our dog is doing. IF YOU VALUE PET SAFETY AND HONESTY, AVOID AUNT BECKY’S PET CARE!!!

"This was such a terrible situation. Sunny has stayed with us many times over the past couple of years. Dr. & Mrs. [Member Name Removed] had always been very happy with our service prior to her injury. Yes Sunny did break her leg while playing chase with another dog. It was so very upsetting. While we dispute many of the statements made in this review, we don't feel that a line by line correction would be appropriate. However some of these statements are so utterly false that we just can't let them go without correction. We provided the [Member Name Removed]'s with a very detailed explanation as to how Sunny was injured. At no time did we ever offer to pay for the entire cost of Sunny's surgical care. While we did not cause and were not responsible for Sunny's injury, we felt so bad that she was injured while in our care we did contribute $2,000.00 toward the cost of her surgery. This was accepted by Dr. & Mrs. [Member Name Removed] to end the matter. I reached out to Mrs. [Member Name Removed] this morning and she demanded more money. We understand that Dr. & Mrs. [Member Name Removed] are upset. But we hope over time reality will overtake emotion. In ten years of professional pet sitting and a lifetime of caring for animals, this is the first and hopefully the last time any dog is ever sent home in less than perfect condition. We have repeatedly expressed our concern for Sunny and hope for the best possible recovery. Unfortunately when the conversation becomes combative continuing to express concern and well wishes is not well received."

The change was unbelievable, I can now see the great companion she will grow into. I now can calmly walk my dog with no issues. Aunt Becky certainly has a way with dogs, but she also had to train me a bit also. LOL

Dog Walking
This was over a year ago. It seemed to go ok. She walked our dogs a week while I was out of town. My wife tried to reach her to come again and she did not respond. My wife tried again asking if there was a problem - there was no response. I tried texting her to see if there was a problem and got no response. She seems very knowledgeable about dogs, but her people skills are lacking. If there was a problem we would at least like to know what it was so we know what to do with the next person.

We got Aunt Beckys phone number from our groomer. We called and she answered with a pleasant voice. We called her on a short 3 day notice to take care of our 2 yellow labs and 2 pekinese. She said no problem and meet with my wife the next evening to tell her what she would do when she came to the house to let out and feed the dogs. We have one pekinese that needs daily allergy medicine and she said no problem and no up charge. She started on a Friday night with 1 visit then came 3 times a day for 8 days and then finished up with one visit on the day we came home. She took excellent care of all the dogs gave them treats and sent us pictures of our furry kids out in the back yard.She called or text with any questions.She truly cared about our dogs and their well being and asked that we call or text her when we got home so she wouldn't worry that they weren't alone.She surely is a great Aunt Becky and we will use her and recommend her to anyone needing pet care at home.

Aunt Becky is great! She has pet-sit our three cats on numerous occasions over the past two years. She is always professional, personable and easy to deal with. Scheduling is never a problem, and the house is always clean when we return. Whether we are going away for a weekend or two weeks -- even over holidays -- we can always depend on her.

Dog Walking
We adopted our 70 lbs dog almost 2 years ago. When I returned to work last year, I was in need of a dog walker to walk him 3 days a week. I googled "dog walkers", and Aunt Becky's website popped up. We made an appointment, and she arrived on time on the day we had set. We walked around the block, and I learned quite a bit from her in that 10 minute walk. She connected with Danny right away, and she provided some training tips that I use every day (i.e., when we are coming back indoors, he must sit and wait until I go through the door and then tell him to "come." I no longer have to worry about him mowing me over with his enthusiasm to get back inside). My husband and I work long hours. Knowing that Aunt Becky has walked Danny eases our minds and allows us to get done what needs to be done at our offices.
Aunt Becky always shows up, lets us know what happened on their walk, and is the consummate professional. I highly recommend her, and in fact, I already have.
