Description of Work: I was looking for some older tiles to replace some that had been damaged on my porch. Although this company did not have them in stock( as I later found they no longer wee made), their representative was very helpful in identifying the tile and referring to a place where they might be found. This was very helpful, even though I never bought anything from this company.

Description of Work: Purchased slate to be used as a backsplash for the kitchen. They were very helpful in helping us find the type of slate we were looking for and very professional. They selections are numerous and offer so many alternatives not found in your standard big box store.

 + -1 moreThey have really beautiful tiles, but much too expensive for us. Still, they let us take tiles home without a deposit, or even ID. We would return there if we can ever afford it.

 + -1 moreThomas Brick is a classy company and very professional. I would absolutely recommend them again. I do not think they should be recommending tilers, considering my problems with one they recommended. This is most likely an isolated incident. However, I do not want to absorb charges not due to my error, and they should honor that.
Description of Work: Thomas Brick had recommended a contractor for tiling who measured the bathrooms for the quantity of tiles needed. I chose tiles. They worked out what was to be ordered. The invoice was billed to contractor. The order was picked up by someone from his crew. Payment was made by me, by credit card. What went wrong: 1. We received too many of shower floor tiles 2. we received too little of shower stall tiles Reason for error: Thomas Brick believes that the error is contractor's. Contractor declines that he made the error and implies that it was Thomas Brick that ordered incorrect quantities. Thomas Brick was very professional and helpful in trying to locate needed tiles required to complete the project, and even expedited delivery and offered design assistance when originally required tiles were not available. However, when I returned the extra shower floor tiles from the original order, I was told there was a restocking fee and other charges that may not be credited back to my credit card. Since this was not my account, it was the contractor's, it would make sense for me to get a full credit for the returned tiles, and pass on the restocking fee to the contractor, or for Thomas Brick to absorb charges. As of today, the credit and charges pending are undetermined.

 + -1 moreThis store is amazing. It's fairly small but they have a huge selection of beautiful tiles. It seems more like a museum or art gallery then a store. It took a long time to pick what we wanted as there is such a variety to choose from. The prices range from "somewhat expensive" to "insanely expensive" so it's not the place to go if you are on a tight budget. (We are on a tight budget, but we loved the tiles so much we splurged anyhow!) We finally selected six beautiful craftsman style pinecone tiles ($30 each!) to go across the top, along with some more affordable- but still lovely- sandstone tiles from India to complete the job. Be aware that almost none of the tiles are in stock- they all need to be special ordered, so go well in advance of the time you need them installed. The sale people were helpful and courteous. They do not do installation, but can provide referrals to companies that install tiles.
Description of Work: We bought two kinds of tiles to put over the bricks that surround our fireplace.
