Description of Work: 60 yr old mahogany dining room table was refinished & repaired. Rick sanded it down & brought out the orginal wood grain. He coated it with a varnish & it has a gorgeous shine to it. Beautiful job restoring a well made old table. Also repaired an older wooden rocking chair & did a fantastic job.

 + -1 moreIt went very well. He had to order parts but came and did the repair just as soon as he got them. He was professional, punctual, knowledgeable and a perfectionist. He worked on the armoire until he got it repaired. The table presented more difficult than originally thought but he found a solution! I would definitely recommend him and would use him again!

 + -1 moreRick came to my home three times: Once to assess what was needed; once to show me what he decided to suggest; and after buying the hinges once to make the repair. A Chinese decorative hinge had broken, and it seemed to be impossible to find a replacement; so Rick suggested he smooth out the broken hinge and add 4 new small regular hinges to the doors beside the four that were already there. He did so and worked on the hinges so they matched the color of the others perfectly. I am very pleased, as we did not have to remove any of the decorative hinges, and the cabinet looks beautiful. Also, I am pleased that Rick picked the most economical method of repairing the cabinet.
Description of Work: A hinge on my Chinese cabinet broke and needed repair.

 + -1 moreI had new cabinet & drawer fronts made to fit my existing kitchen cabinets. I didn't paint or stain them for two years. They were stained and looked pretty ugly. Rick took them home, stained & refinished the door & drawer fronts, so they exactly matched the old birch cabinets. He did a very thorough & clean job.
Description of Work: Rick took off all of my new kitchen cabinet doors & drawer fronts, stained & finished them to match the existing cabinet bases, and hung them up again. They look beautiful and gives my kitchen an updated and classic look.
