Their work has kept water out of my basement even though we had 7 inches of rain this month. He was very punctual and always called if there was any type of issue with his start time.

The house we bought had been on the market for quite awhile because of major water issues in the basement and crawlspace. The sub flooring was all rotted and black. As soon as you walked in the house you could smell the dampness. We got estimates from 6 companies but Jack, the owner of Sun River, was the only company that did the waterproofing the way we had read it should be done. He doesn't waterproof from the inside because then water is still coming in through the walls. He doesn't use tar because it eventually breaks down and water can come through again. He installed Soprema membrane to the foundation. The Soprema membrane will last "forever" and will seal out all water & even insects. He dug to the base of the foundation, not a foot or two like other companies. Just digging a couple feet doesn't work; at our previous house and at my sister's house we used a company that installed a system inside the house and dug two feet around the outside of the house and we both ended up still having water problems. Jack does the majority of the work and has one helper, Jose. He may take longer than larger companies, but he likes to do the work himself so that he can ensure a quality job. I am confident that we will never have another problem with water, our house is now completely dry. Our job was not an easy one, the sewer and storm drains were badly damaged by trees and had to be replaced, a gas line had to be moved that was in the wrong place, an electrical box and equipment for the pool had to be moved, a hole in the wall to our home that was exposed when the walls of the walk out basement were torn down had to be fixed, Jack handled it all. Our job took two months to complete but we know it was done right, you can't rush quality. He was also one of the highest bids, but I know that with waterproofing you get what you pay for, the Soprema is extremely expensive vs tar. I also think Jack's estimate was the most honest and accurate one we received. He told us his estimate was worse case scenario which was great since it ended up being worse case scenario. The other companies' estimates were lower but were best case scenarios and the final cost would have been a lot higher. Jack always had a smile on his face, he's very knowledgeable and was always willing to answer our questions or take the time to explain what he was doing, they showed up when they said they'd be there, and had excellent communication (Jack called my husband almost every day to keep him informed of the progress). We would not hesitate to recommend Sun River Exteriors.
