Good Times RV Rentals

They drove the camper to the site on 9/20/2013 and set it up.  They had some problems with the awning hardware while showing me how to set it up and take it down.  They said they had it fixed however around 2:00 am that morning during the heavy rain the awning broke and slammed against the side of the camper awaking us.  Although it was raining there were no high winds or winds of any kind nor was there any thunder or lightening.  All of the surrounding campers had left their awnings up as well and they were all fine.  When we called them to come and fix this problem they told my husband that we were responsible because we didn't pull the awning in when it began to rain.  Besides the fact that they didn't tell my niece and I that while they were setting it up nor was it in the hand typed handbook binder they gave me but I was under the assumption that this awning was meant to handle rain.  When we mentioned that they never told us to roll it in they said it was common sense.  When my husband pointed out 5 other campers surrounding us whose awnings remained intact after weathering the heavy rain the guy said they were just 'LUCKY".   Apparently they stopped at the bank on their way back to the camper rental office because the check cleared  on the Tuesday after our camping  trip the check that was written in case of moving accident cleared our bank.  I don't fell like this was our responsibility as they set it up and never told us to pull it in during the rain.  BUYER BEWARE!
