For several years, I had bean collecting books on gardening with stone, and read everything on safe pathways. I read about Tim Roth installing pathways, for our Historical Society. Our ideas about safe pathways meshed perfectly. I didn't even get another estimate. I knew he was perfect for the job. I was reluctant to tear up so much of my muddy lawn, because my vision could see only a stone parking lot, Tim's talented creativity produced a natural wonder. I called Tim in December 2005, when landscapers don't have work scheduled. That gave us more time to work together, Tim and one helper worked a week during a beautiful, warm, sunny January 2006. Tim created a geologist's paradise for me, that gets better everyday. It is beautiful in the snow, glistens in the rain, and is colorful in the sun. In May 2008, Tim created a wider meaning pathway from my recently glass enclosed back porch to the driveway. His work is as inspired as ever and improves my quality of life. At 87 years, I sometimes have difficulty walking. The pathway gets me out and facilitates walking about.
