Marvin did a great job. He was honest and very dependable. I was really impressed with his work, the people he had working on the project and the clean up every day. When he saw that things came up that were unexpected, he was honest with us and was able to to the do work necessary and did it thoroughly. He treated our project as it was his home, with pride, competence and vested interest. We felt comfortable having him do all the work because he was very knowledgable in so many areas.

Excellent! Now you would never know that there were holes. Marvin does great work.

Earlier this year my wife and I decided to invest in our home and do some improvements. We planned to start with small projects and if the contractor did a good job we would move into more complicated projects with the ultimate goal of adding onto our family room. We had contacted 4 different contractors. Two of them never returned our repeated calls, the other two came to quote on our project but never got back to us with a quote in writing and never returned our follow up calls. We were frustrated and stunned that in this economy we could not get anyone to even return a phone call. One weekend our community was having a wine festival with the proceeds going to charity. We attended the event and my wife started talking to a Mary Kay Lady who had a tent and display set up at the event. She made an appointment to come to our house. The following Sunday when the new Mary Kay lady ….Diana….came to our house, my wife Cindy told her the story about the contractors who would not call us back. Dianna told us her husband was a contractor and gave us his card. She told us that her husband calls people back. So I called the next day and to my surprise, Marvin the owner of Hometown Builders Inc. Answered the phone. We talked and made an appointment for him to come and see us on a Sunday afternoon. Cindy and I met with Marvin Ross the owner of Hometown Builders and his brother in law Ty. These two fellas are the best contractors we have worked with in over 22 years of home ownership. Marvin and his crew, Ty, John, Shawn, the gutter guys, the heating and cooling guys, the drywall guys all did a fabulous job for us. We had a new roof put on, new vinyl siding, we had major electrical improvements done, and we had a 16X12 addition added onto our family room with new hardwood flooring, new doors and windows, new woodwork trim and a new sliding glass door in our living room. We also had new columns put on our front porch and we had our chimney repaired and tuck pointed along with the brick and mortar foundation of our front porch. Every day a crew was there working on our projects. Marvin's crew did not work on several projects at once….once they started our job they worked on it every day. Marvin said the project would be done in 4 weeks and the project was done in 4 weeks. He worked to get the permits from the city and county and he was meticulous in how the work was completed. Marvin's crews cleaned up after themselves each day, they were patient with our changes we asked for along the way and every person on each of his crews was respectful and friendly. Hometown Builders made our home look like a newly constructed home. Their work was professional and you can tell that they used high quality materials and the workmanship was the highest quality. I cant say enough good things about our experience with Marvin and his crew. Now that our project is completed, we miss seeing him and his guys. We will definitely use Hometown Builders again for other projects. We not only found an excellent contractor but we made a great friend as well. We highly recommend Marvin Ross and Hometown Builders for any home improvement job big or small.
