The work they performed in late winter was, for the most part, very adequate, and I have no complaints regarding that. They also did the work in a timely manner, and as far as I can remember, they showed up when they were supposed to. They also came back several times to re-touch the basement's metal door until it was to everyone's satisfaction. However, once they were completed and had been paid, I had asked them about doing some other work for me, unrelated to the basement (but again, wood staining/finishing, this time on the upstairs staircase and front door). I was told they could certainly do so, but that I had to wait because the weather/temperature was too cold for them to work on the front door, and to call them back when the weather had warmed up. After the weather warmed, I have called them numerous times, left messages each time, and have also had the person that had coordinated all the basement subcontractors call them. They have never bothered to return ANY of my calls, even after they assured the coordinator they would call me. Now it's already gotten too cold again to work on the front door. I understand that they MAY be very busy with other jobs that they have already scheduled, but there's a distinct lack of professionalism and courtesy when they can't be bothered to at least return a simple call. Hence the high marks in "quality", but lower marks in "responsiveness" and "professionalism". And so it now appears that this company and I are in mutual agreement that they will not be doing further work for me again.
Description of Work: Their team was in charge of staining ALL wood work (doors, windows, trims, a full bar area, floor boards, steps, shelves, columns, etc) and touching up wall paint where necessary in an approximately 1600 sq ft basement finishing project. In certain areas, they had to repair/cover up the shoddy staining job that had been started by another subcontractor. They also did some detail work by painting (to match the surrounding woodwork) some canned lighting trims, vent covers, and a metal door.
