"Thank you! We are happy you are satisfied with your patio. Thank you for choosing American Quality Construction."
"We had multiple conversations with Mr. Hussein about his driveway. Mr. Hussein paid his bill in full and told me personally how happy he was with everything (he did not mention any of the splatterings, saw cutting, or anything else) so we assumed he was another satisfied homeowner. We advised Mr. Hussein that there should be no salt applied to his drive whatsoever in the first year as that is when concrete is the greenest. We did seal the drive (it dries clear and does not deliver a shiny finish so it may appear as if it was not done). The sealer does protect from the plow and salt that is tracked in from car tires however it does not protect from the salt which is caked on the underside of a truck or falling from a spreader (Mr. Hussein had a spreader attached to his plow truck which was caked in salt as was his bumper and underside of his truck). Our foreman personally went out there to inspect and pointed out that the carport, patio, and slab for his shed were poured at the same time and did not show any signs of pitting. It was also brought to Mr. Hussein attention that the damaged areas of his drive were exactly were his plow truck drove on (the edges of the drive were not pitted. We cannot be responsible for damage to the top coat which was directly caused by salt from Mr. Hussien plow truck. One of the things Mr. Hussein talked about when we first looked at his job was how his existing concrete was pitted in the drive. We offered to power wash and reseal it at no charge but MR Hussien insisted we should replace the drive which was damaged by the homeowner. The broom finish was done per Mr. Hussein request so we are unsure why he is now unhappy."
"We are sorry you are disappointed with the slope of your patio. There is never an exact slope as every job is different. The grade of a yard GREATLY impacts the slope as there has to be a certain amount of fall to keep water away from the house. Certain stamps require more slope then REGULAR CONCRETE because of the groves and textured designs in them (we have to make sure that heavy rain, melting snow etc wont have any way to head toward a dwelling). Ohio has a certain threshold for steps in relation to the distance between the house and the patio. We didn't write it but we believe in installing to code (digging way down isn't always an option). Not sure if your friends or family are in the concrete trade or not as there is more to our trade then people realize. You mentioned that your husband doesn't remember the conversation with Dusty but paid in full upon completion (It would seem if you were unhappy or had doubt that you wouldn't have paid in full or waited months to write this review). We were delayed in applying the sealer because of all the rain that we experienced in the spring (I know we got rained out twice in that week that we installed your patio). We realize it was inconvenient but we can't control mother nature. I am confused about the communication rating of zero as I pride myself on returning ALL CALLS, TEXTS AND EMAILS WITHIN THE NEXT BUSINESS DAY (I have stayed late to accomplish this many times). Dusty has a 330 phone number which is not a local area code so it is not uncommon for me to have to contact a homeowner and let them know that he has been trying to reach them (we all screen are calls because of all the pesky spam out there). When the equipment is going it is impossible to hear a phone so on a 10 hour day Dusty can be tough to reach). We normally would get the dirt work done sooner but battling rain and equipment (a broken brake line on a dump truck or electrical problem is even more fun to deal with during the busy season) can add a monkey wrench in the loop. We did the dirt work for less then normal to help compensate. We try to keep any concrete from splattering, or overspray from sealer from going where it shouldn't but unfortunately its construction and small messes can happen. You had mentioned that you didn't tell us about it so we never had the opportunity to remedy it for you. In closing we appreciate you choosing AQC and are very thankful for the opportunity to install your new patio. We hope you will call again if you ever need any additional work done and wish you best in the future. Regards, AQC"
