Stack Heating & Cooling

Stack came out to install a new furnace in February 2025. They advertised quality installation and years of experience installing directly on proposal. When summer came around the A/C connected to the new furnace would not come on. We called Stack to come out and repair the AC at 8am - they did not return our call until 230pm on a 90-degree day. I did not know the issue had anything to do with new furnace install. I was told they had 100 VMs and couldn't get to calling us back before then. We have two young daughters (2 and 1) so this was an urgent repair for us. By the time they called back, we had already booked another company Westland (who is great) to come out. They informed us that the furnace was installed wrong. We were charged $400 by Westland to fix an install mistake by Stack. I called Stack and asked them to cover the invoice. She repeated the same thing on the phone 100 times saying they couldn't verify the furnace was installed wrong even though I have an invoice with details on exactly how it was installed wrong (details below). She should be fired. She repeatedly implied the other company Westland must be lying about the install issue. I would like Stack to cover this invoice.

The job is extremely well done!

The furnace tune-up went well. The technician described everything he was doing as he did it. He took photos of the furnace's system and entered other data so that a future technician would have that info in case of an emergency. There was an Angi coupon for $10 bucks off, but it was outdated. Boo. Still, it seemed to be a reasonable price for the service.

When I turned back my system it works - no issues - Tech came 'for nothing'... charged: $95.00.. INSANE!! They did install 2 floors - 2 separate HVAC - Lennox.. Upstairs and main floor. Their Lennox coil (upstairs) failed after barely 4 years!! - charged?? yes.. I was 'under warranty'.. how much?? ~$1,000!!! Tech told me Lennox had law suit for 'low quality parts' used in their coils!! What a scam!! I'm not happy with them - especially I found them via Costco that I used to trust!! :(... In addition they sold us their extended warranty - sure 'free parts' with hiper premium charges (labor not covered).. Sorry, will hire someone else in future - simply that I disagree with their business model of selling 'free parts' warranties and charging premiums... just to show off and charging me $95 for his 10 mins staying home was mistake.. no more mercy.
