we were initially concerned with some discoloration on the bottom corners of the walls on either side of the glass shower stall. Pal found that the baseboard on one side and the wall tile grout on the other side were wet. His dual prong moisture meter would only report up to 22% moisture content indicated on it's highest scale, and the meter pegged to 22% on both sides of the shower. he methodically charted the meter readings on the floor around the room and they were strongest near the shower, so he inspected the tile inside the shower and found many small grout spots that had to be fixed. But when he laid down inside the shower, he found a 12-14 inch long grout seam that had completely opened up, letting water in and soaking the sheetrock beside the tub enclosure. In places, that seam was large enough to stick a folded matchbook almost halfway in! If you were standing up in the shower, it was invisible! He removed the wooden plate hiding the jacuzzi motor and shined his light toward the shower... obviously, it had been leaking for a while. The more water had dripped in, the more the wood had swelled and enlarged the seam, letting more water in! We were in the habit on turning on the shower in the morning to let the water get warm enough, and that stream of water was hitting very near to that crack! what idiots! The first step was to dry it out as well as possible, with multiple fans blowing 24/7 for several days directly on the wet areas, including underneath the tub enclosure. Pal dug out all of the bad grout areas in the shower walls, the tub surround and the floor nearby to allow air to get as deep as possible. He taught me how to use the moisture meter and I would check the drying progress every couple of days, and when we decided that it was dry enough, he went to work on the regrouting and baseboard/sheetrock repairs. He's a real perfectionist! I saw many nice touches of where he spent a few extra minutes sanding this baseboard or smoothing that caulk line, more than other contractors I've hired in the past. He worked quickly and quietly. I've hired contractors that have played annoying music in the past. Actually, I can't really begrudge them from wanting to listen to their music as they worked, but invariably their musical taste ranging from country to hiphop was always a bit grating on my ears. He cleaned up every speck of dust when he completed the job. and there was a ton of grout dust everywhere when he was working. He was under his proposal budget. Very close, but still under. He spent almost 2 days here. I will call him again for another project in the future.

Penzvalto Construction has done various concrete jobs for us, both at home and our rental property. The contractor has done a very good job for us for the past 15 years. It?s definitely value for all the money we spent. We can depend and trust him completely. He is a perfectionist in executing the job. He ensures the place is cleaned after the job is completed. We can call him anytime and he never hesitates to attend immediately. We have recommended him to a lot of our friends? and colleagues and the feedback has been very good. I will definitely continue to use his services in future.

Response from Penzvalto Construction
"THIS JOB TOOK MUCH LONGER THAN IT SHOULD HAVE, DUE TO LACK OF COOPERATION ON THE PART OF THE CUSTOMER. WE CAME LATE AT HER REQUEST, AND SHE WOULD CANCEL WORK AT THE LAST MINUTE FOR FRIVOLOUS REASONS, WHEN I HAD A CREW SCHEDULED TO WORK. (HER DOG HAD TO GO TO THE GROOMER, FOR EXAMPLE). THERE WAS A MUTUAL AGREEMENT TO POSTPONE THE WORK AT ONE POINT DUE TO MY BROTHER'S UNTIMELY DEATH. HOWEVER THE JOB WAS FINISHED AND TURNED OUT BEAUTIFULLY."
