"Duke Inspection Services welcomes customer feedback and would try to help resolve any issues in a timely manner. Unfortunately, in this case, Duke was not made aware of the customer's opinion until this review was posted on Angie's List over 1 year and 3 months after the service was provided. This inspection was conducted in June 2014 (not Sept 2015). To be fair, the client has never communicated any problems or concerns to Duke Inspection Services. Duke Inspection Services reached out to this client on 10/13/15 to try find out what led to this review, but never heard back from the client. Duke Inspection Services is committed to customer satisfaction and retains an overall rating of A with Angie's List and A+ with the Better Business Bureau. It is too bad that Angie's Lists doesn't try to verify the specifics of these reviews. For example, the rating for price is "D"... although the price paid by the client for a home inspection report and radon test was very competitive when compared to other local home inspection companies with similar experience and qualifications. How can a company offer low pricing and still be rated "D"? (that's just 1 example of Angie's rating system) In my opinion, Angie's List should check out these reviews before they are posted! Note: Duke Inspection Services does not pay Angie's List for advertising or preferred listings."

Dave came to do an inspection on a property we were considering purchasing. He was prompt, professional, and knowledgeable. He conducted a thorough inspection of the house interior and exterior, providing information and answering questions along the way. We felt very comfortable working with Dave and were quite impressed with the elaborate report we received just hours after the inspection commenced. In fact, the report and pictures he provided were so specific, they were useful in providing a description of several problem areas to the sellers. After our positive experience working with Dave, we hired him to inspect our current home prior to putting it on the market. Dave was, as usual, very professional and thorough. We feel comfortable knowing what to repair before putting our home on the market and do not anticipate any major issues or surprises when we sell our home. We HIGHLY recommend Duke Inspection Services!

Walk through inside and outside to identify probable source of drywall cracks and separations. This was not the normal home inspection for purposes of buying a home. As a result, Mr. Sipple reduced the fee substantially. My purpose was to determine what was causing the problems so those repairs could be made first. He advised me that the issues were beyond his field of expertise but did provide me with a written letter with his opinions.

David Sipple is a very professional, thorough inspector who provided me with invaluable insights. Prior to his coming to the property he had quoted a price higher than he charged. He did so without any promting as he explained the inspection was not as complicatedas he expected. I highly reommend Duke inspections and will use this company anytime i need such services in the future.

We are purchasing a condominium property that hadn't been permanently occupied for several years. Duke Inspection thoroughly inspected all major systems, from bottom to top, and provided a detailed, concise report that was easily understandable. Highlighted areas that needs correction, and explained in detail verbally things that needed to be corrected. Very professional, personable, efficient. Recommended options for replacement (such as dishwasher), cleaning (such as fireplace). Thoroughly tested mechanical, electrical, plumbing, etc. We feel confident with Duke Inspection's recommendations and would definitely recommend this company to others.

Dave was polite, on time, and very professional. I was very happy with the service. He gave a very detailed report and sent a CD with pictures of the issues that needed addressing. I have been able to read from his report to electricians and they were able to give me estimates over the phone based on his detailed report.

DAVID SIPPLE WAS ON TIME & VERY POLITE. WE WALKED THROUGH THE HOUSE TOGETHER & HE POINTED OUT THINGS TO THINK ABOUT AS WELL AS THE INSPECTION ITEMS I EXPECTED. I FOUND A NUMBER OF PROBLEMS WITH MY HOME THE DAY I MOVED IN. I CALLED THE INSPECTOR TO DISCUSS MY FINDINGS AND SAID I THOUGHT THE SELLERS LIED ABOUT THE CONDITION OF THE HOME. HE SAID HE THOUGHT SO TOO. I ASKED WHY HE DIDN'T TELL ME THAT, AS I WOULD NOT HAVE BOUGHT THE HOUSE IN THIS CONDITION, AND HE SAID HE DIDN'T WANT TO BE SUED BY THE SELLERS IF THE SALE FELL THROUGH. HE WAS RECOMMENDED BY THE REALTORS, AND HE DID NOT TELL ME WHAT HE HONESTLY THOUGHT ABOUT THE CONDITION OF THE HOUSE, BECAUSE HE WANTED THE SALE TO GO THROUGH! I'VE SINCE HAD MANY EXPENSIVE PROBLEMS TO FIX.

RESPONDED PROMPTLY AND WENT OUT OF HIS WAY TO SCHEDULE IT QUICKLY. RELATIVELY SMALL HOUSE, BUT SPENT TWO HOURS TO DO A VERY GOOD JOB. GAVE ME A PRICE BREAK BECAUSE OF SIZE OF HOUSE AND MENTIONING REFERRAL FROM REAL ESTATE AGENT AND THAT I WAS AN ANGIE'S LIST MEMBER.

DAVE DID A FABULOUS JOB. WE BOUGHT A NEW HOME AND DAVE DID OUR 10 MONTH INSPECTION FOR OUR YEAR WARRANTY ON THE HOUSE. THIS INSPECTION WAS SLIGHTLY LESS MONEY THAN IF WE WERE HAVING AN INSPECTION FOR A HOME THAT WE WERE BUYING SINCE WE ARE TURNING IN ANY PROBLEMS INTO THE BUILDER TO REPAIR. USUALLY THIS INSPECTION LASTS 1 1/2-2 HOURS BUT DAVE WAS VERY PATIENT AND HELPFUL WITH ME BECAUSE I AM CLUELESS AS TO HOME MAINTENANCE. HE TOOK THE TIME TO GO THROUGH YEARLY MAINTENANCE STUFF THAT WE SHOULD HAVE DONE AND RECOMMENDED CHANGES IN A FEW THINGS THAT MIGHT CAUSE PROBLEMS DOWN THE ROAD. THE REPORT THAT HE GIVES YOU IS LIKE A BOOK...VERY DETAILED. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM. MANY NEIGHBORS IN OUR NEIGHBORHOOD...WHICH IS 1-2 YEARS OLD...ARE GOING TO USE HIM.
