Description of Work: Great business was very good about getting car in asap. The car was having electrical issues checked entire wiring system and then found bad switch in door and instead of charging us 350$ for the part told us it was still under warranty. great place will continue to use in the future. Nice to find an honest hometown business

 + 0 moreHe's just a very caring person, which I think is very unusual. He's enormously energetic, fair, honest; I trust that anything he says is the truth, and that's unusual in today's world. He inherited the business from his dad; I've known him since he was 18. He's just a neat guy.
Description of Work: He's our mechanic. He's a wonderful human being. He does tune ups for us, he fixes flat tires -- he does everything. He also snow plows for us. Anything above four inches, and he's right there at 5:30 in the morning.

 + -1 moreVery disappointed. We took the truck in because it wouldn't go into reverse and had a horrible grinding noise. He told us the emergency brake had broken off and jammed it, so he repaired that. The next day, it wouldn't go into reverse OR drive unless it was in 4WD and the grinding noise remained. Took it back; he drained and replaced the transmission fluid and replaced some valves; told us it was running like a new truck; he did tell us a little grinding noise could still be heard, but that it would go away as we drove it more. When we picked it up, it did go into gear, but the grinding noise was far worse than before and did NOT improve the more you drove it. I took the truck to a different mechanic and found that the transfer case was hanging on by a thread and the u-joint was corroded. Had both replaced by new garage and NOW the truck runs like new. I was very annoyed with Detzel's. I won't take another vehicle there.
Description of Work: Detzel's was recommended to us by a family member. They were certainly professional, and their prices seemed reasonable. We took our 4WD pick-up truck to them on two separate occasions - the first because it wouldn't go into reverse and there was a grinding noise when you drove it. The second the day after we picked it up from the first repair because it wouldn't go into reverse OR forward unless it was in 4WD, and the grinding noise was far worse. The third time we took it to a new mechanic.

 + 0 moreWe brought in our minivan for an estimate based on problems handling the vehicle and received a quick diagnosis and estimate. We left the van for examination and approved the recommended work. The work was completed in a single day and addressed the problem as the vehicle now handles much better than before. We recommend this small garage for routine repairs and reliable diagnosis.
Description of Work: Replaced struts and front tires.
