Ed is extremely knowledgeable about his business and differentiates himself by being effective on the job but also very efficient taking only necessary steps to get the job done without offering services that are not needed. By his demeanor and how he made suggestions to keep things simple yet 100% effective%, I knew right way I would get the best service at a fair competitive price. He is very prompt to respond. He is the fastest of everyone I hired to have responded to my texts i.e. Within 3 minutes for both questions I sent him. Ed is impressive, honest simple go to person for your electrical needs, He earns a triple Arating from me for his job well done and I know I will not get ice dams and flooded kitchen this winter: He installed an led light that tells me when the cables are on and when they are off making the system very easy to operate. I recommended him to my neighbor right away and hope he also gets the business. Ed you rock and should be proud of the amazing ethical, honest and fair way you conduct your business, making your living with your customers smiley and happy!

Ed came out within a couple of days to give us an estimate (it could have been same day that I called but we weren't home).  He was prompt, courteous, and above all else he came in at an excellent price!  The work was done within a few days (again, could have been sooner, but our schedule was busy) and everything worked well!  We would recommend Ed to anyone needing any type of electric work done.

Ok so we needed an electrician.  Where to begin?  Angie's list of course!  Found Ed Cook - obviously this was my lucky day.  Ed came over on Saturday to do the estimate, and came Monday evening after working all day to hang the chandeliers so I could be home to eyeball the hanging height, etc.  However, Ed has 40 years of experience and was able to hang them perfectly - he didn't even need me!  He is an expert in his field - he truly knows what he doing.  And did I mention what a nice guy he is?  I felt like I've known him forever.  He took such good care of us - he truly loves what he does and he really knows his craft.  When we finish the basement Ed is a no brainer.  And the price?  Unbelievable - he worked through the evening after a full day and didn't charge extra - hard worker and such a great guy.  I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ed Cook to anyone looking for an experienced electrician who really, truly, knows what he is doing!

Ed was very friendly and easy to get on the phone.  He gave us an inspection of the electrical system in our new house and gave us an honest evaluation of services that could be performed.  We decided it would be best if we replaced an aging and under powered electric service panel and we wanted to have the worked finished before we moved in.  Ed was very flexible in scheduling this job, especially since the move in/move out date changed a few times.  Each time we had to make a change to the dates the house was available he was easy to contact and adapt to our plans.  He also handled contacting our real estate agent to gain access to the house, since we were moving from out of town.  He made the whole process very easy on us and the work very clean and the new service panel looks and works great!

One of my smoke detectors started chirping in the middle of the night.  I changed the battery but it would not stop.  The next day I called Ed - he answered his phone immediately and I explained my problem.  He came the same afternoon and disconnected the chirping alarm.  We discussed the fact that the detectors were 10 years old and decided to replace them.  He said he would get new ones and call me in a week or two.  Two days later he called and came out the same day to replace them.

They were very good. I was very pleased with the service that I have never appointed.

We have used Ed for many jobs, from simple wiring  to installing extra outlets to providing and installing our whole house back-up generator.  He has never up charged for anything, is always punctual and efficient. We are building an addition to our house and have already asked him to do the electrical work.  I highly recommend.

He wrote up a great report that I could use to get a new stove. The cord had been improperly installed because the outlet didn't suit. There was some heat damage to the stove that he also documented.

Ed and his helper were very punctual and arrived exactly at the time we agreed.  I was pleased with their work ethic, as they got right to work and were very efficient.  I also had one difficult room, which required installing recessed cans without have attic access.  Ed had to cut open the ceiling, but minimized the amount of damage that was required.  He even put the drywall pieces back up after he was finished.  All I had to do was patch and paint.
I am well aware how hard it is to find a reliable contractor who is honest and reasonbly priced, so I am having Ed and his helper come back to install a bath fan and do the wiring for my new kitchen renovation.

He and his helper came on time,were efficient and personable.Will definitely use him again.

He did a very good job, prompt, cleaned up after himself and I got exactly what I wanted.
