Went to get estimate to have dog's teeth clean. The initial exam and blood work was $232. The estimate for the cleaning was to be north of $1000 IN ADDITION to the initial exam putting the cost over $1200. No wonder they have next day visits.

They are excellent. I couldn't recommend them more highly. They're incredible, everybody there is amazing. It's like the Cleveland Clinic for animal care. It couldn't be better. They have a hospital there. Our sick kitty spent some time in the hospital there. We lost our kitty, the kitty was old too and had kidney failure. This kitty happened to love my husband, so he took it very hard. My husband is a retired doctor. So, they gave him stuff that he could do at home to keep the kitty alive, which he did, giving the kitty IVs at home, every other day, for about two months. They said, "We don't think the kitty is going to make it because she is 19," and he said, "It's okay," but he did it anyway. They were wonderful. The kitty died at our house and we took it there. We had it cremated. If ever we had animal issues, I would go there. Everybody there was wonderful, from the vets to the people that help you in the office to everybody there. I can't think of a better place, I wish the hospital was as good.

I'm upset with them. The cost was way too much for what they did. I had made an appointment at 10 o'clock. I didn't pick up my dog till six o'clock. They told me, when I got there, that two people had called off sick or something, and so it would be late and they would call me. They close at six o'clock. By five o'clock, I had to call them to find out when I could pick up my dog. I was afraid they were going to keep it overnight and then charge me a board. I got there closer to six. I don't think the dog was ready. In any case, she said it was $52 and I said, "$52?" They claimed that they had to charge me $52 because the dog was so matted and so bad. I had taken my dog there in July. Because she had cut him so short, she told me to bring him back in January. At that time, they charged me $50 because he was very matted. I agreed. I had neglected him. This time, we had been brushing him out every night. So he wasn't matted. So she said, "I'm going to have to cut him down close and then have a skirt and a mustache because he is a Miniature Schnauzer." So I said, "Okay." When he came out, the groomer didn't bother coming out. He had no skirt on him. He had his mustache. I said, "What happened to the skirt?" She goes, "Well, he was so matted." What they did, I could have done myself. If he was so matted, then there was no work, in the way they shaved him. They shaved him down. If he was so matted, all they had to do, was shave him. So there was no grooming. They shampooed him, I guess. All I asked them was to have his ears done and to be groomed. So to me, for $52, it was pretty bad. I couldn't believe it. He was worse in July. He was horribly matted and they charged me some $50. This time around, I think they just took a shortcut by just shaving him and not grooming him really. I could have done that. Matting had nothing to do with what they did because if he was matted and they shaved him, what was the work involved? Nothing. There was no brushing out. All they did was shave him off. I'm never going to go back there. They're pricey. They kept me waiting. They didn't have the courtesy to call me when the dog was ready, even though I had an appointment. They knew, when I got there at 10 o'clock that they had two people call off. So why didn't they call me and say, "This is going to be a very long wait" or "You're not going to get your dog right away."

I am okay with the service. They are not cheap, it is very expensive. I have been using them for eight or nine years. They are just really good with the dogs. The vet I see is very caring and doesn't oversell things. Actually I have to take my pets there Wednesday.

It's a fabulous facility that offers fair pricing. They offer animal wellness checks for older cats and dogs that includes blood testing that has a comprehensive break down of the blood levels and urine and fecal testing. These wellness visits are informative and offer a cost savings. They also offer a very good kitten and puppy package. They have a good check-out system in regards to paying so there's not a cluster of people waiting around. They have licensing to compound the medications to add flavoring and made a pill into a liquid form to make it easier for the animal to take. They have a separate building that offers grooming. They also offer wonderful boarding facilities, a rehab room for post-surgery and a doggy daycare that I take my Shih Tzu-Poodle mix to and he loves. Some of the boarding rooms offer video capabilities to view the rooms and they offer tours of 'Paws by the Lake' twice a day. They were able to board him as a new puppy without a lot of notice and performed the puppy well-check visit and groomed him the same visit. I like Dr. O'Donnell very much and have seen about half of the vets there including Dr. Mills, Dr. Dodson, Dr. Lorenz and Dr. Lamb. I have no reason to go anywhere else but they will refer me to any needed specialists.

Service was good. The waiting area is good, we only have to wait about five minutes. The staff treat us good. We are normally there about 1/2 an hour. I would tell a friend or family member this company is good.

My dog was sick, they recommended we take him home, so we brought him home, and he passed away. Noone sent a sympathy card or called. That is why I was dissatisfied.

They found out by checking her leg that she has Arthritis. All the doctors are outstanding there, but we do have our favorite:)

When my 60 lb shepherd mix started limping I took her to another vet where she had xrays and was diagnosed with a partially torn ACL. I wasn't confident in the other vet so decided to try Dr. Haddad at Avon Lake Animal Clinic. He was so thorough in that first appointment, and we scheduled TTA surgery for over a month out. We ended up needing to move up the surgery when her ACL completely tore, the office was great at rescheduling. Dr Haddad called throughout the day to update us on her condition, he was great, and she came home the next day. Lucy went through the rehab and was doing great until she tore her other ACL six months later. We knew what it was and immediately scheduled a second surgery with Dr. Haddad. Unfortunately Dr. Haddad had a family emergency so we chose to go ahead with Dr. Lamb. He's known for being a good surgeon, but was less personable than Dr. Haddad. Lucy once more came home the next day and was walking on her new knee immediately but was in excessive pain. We called in the middle of the night (great that we had the option) and were told to up her meds. She recovered fairly quickly and rehab this time was a breeze. I don't know if it's that she now has two repaired knees or that there was a different vet so something differently done with the second knee, but any time she plays too hard her second repaired knee has pain/lameness. Still, she's better off than without the surgeries.
We take our two dogs and two cats to Dr. Letosky and she's amazing. I trust her judgment completely and she's great with all the animals and spends time to answer all my questions. We're moving soon and I'd almost drive my dogs 2.5 hours to see her, almost. I also really like the vet techs and admins. I'm sure they're trained to admire each animal that comes through the door, but I still like it. I found out after Lucy's surgery that it was a quiet night so one of the vet techs sat with her most of the night, thought that was great. We also did rehab through Up and Running with Jodi and Mary Beth, they were also amazing and so good with our picky shepherd. Some may find the price high, but seemed comparable to our old vet. i love that it's a very large practice, the rooms are a good size for our large dogs, and they can do pretty much anything on-site. Would recommend this practice to anyone and everyone!

Although they are a bit pricey it is well worth the service and care they gave. I like that you pay while in the examining room as opposed to out in a general public area. They treated my and quot;girlsand quot; very we'll. I definitely found a new veterinarian that I can go to for many years.
