Tri County Sewer

Iif we still had a problem he would return and snake it again Since the weather was extremely cold and we could not run water down the sewer we will not know until a thaw in the weather.
The provider advised that he would return and try again at no charge.

Tri-County showed up almost to the minute of the appointment, and was cleaned the sewer main with in 10 mins of arriving. The man kept at the cleaning until he was sure that the whole line was clean, and then cleaned the floor drain. He stayed until he was sure that all the drains were draining quickly and without problem.

I had a really nasty experience with him. I believe he really tried to make me pay more than what was needed. I called him to do a small area of waterproofing. He did that, and in the process he kept finding more things wrong that I needed to get fixed. I knew I didn’t actually have those problems. He ran a gutter system for me that was tilted the wrong way so that water would not drain out of it anyway. He also added a lot of drainage that I didn’t need. He told me that it was my responsibility to fix something when it was actually the county’s responsibility. The county officials came out later and confirmed that too. He left the job in a mess. He did not take care of my lawn or my landscaping. When he came in with his equipment he left all kinds of marks and destroyed my grass. He later just filled it in with rock and left a huge amount of dirt over all the areas that he worked on. He didn’t even care to return it to any semblance of normalcy. I tried to pursue what it would be like to sue him. A couple of lawyers said that I would have to really work hard to do it just because he could stall me. I felt like he ripped me off. He showed me dirt stuck in one of my pipes, and my suspicion was that he put the dirt there himself to convince me that I had to put more drainage in. I didn’t get in to the ditch to challenge him, and I believe he took advantage of that. He tried to tell me that there was blockage using his little spectroscope that he put around. In the end his charge was a lot more than his original quote. I told all my neighbors not to hire him. I feel strongly that people should know that he is not the best.

From start to finish, the company was professional, pleasant to deal with, and flexible. The thing I appreciated the most, however, was the integrity and honesty of the plumber. Not many plumbers in his position would have done what he did, and I hope this story gets into the pages of happiness in the Angie's List Magazine.

I had sewage back-up in the basement. Tri County came recommended from a friend. They came the same day and fixed the problem.

Tri-County came out on multiple occasions, and we have had both good and not so good experiences. Initially they came to snake our drain, spent extra time diagnosing and solving the problem. It was a little expensive, but worth it to have a dry basement. We followed their recommendation to have a large section of the sewer drain to the street replaced. The work ballooned from a financially manageable job, to a pretty expensive project. I was disappointed that the quote for the work included replacing the water line, which they accidentally "hit" while working. When the work was completed the water line was not replaced and the price was not adjusted for the labor and materials that did not have to be expended on that item. I asked to have the trench filled with a particular rock recommended by another contractor. They told me it was not necessary.

He came out and was very nice and told me he used pipes that are gasketed which I was very pleased with. He said he would have an estimate mailed to me within the next few days (this was before labor day) and I have still not received it.

VERY PROFESSIONAL, BUT RELUCTANT TO WRITE UP A FORMAL CONTRACT.

I SET UP AN APPOINTMENT WITH THIS COMPANY. THEY NEVER SHOWED NOR CALLED. I CALLED THEM AND THEY SAID THAT THEY WOULD COME AFTER THEY COME BACK FROM THE LAST JOB OF THE DAY. I TOLD THEM THAT IT WOULD BE DARK BY THEN. I WAS GOING THROUGH SOME TOUGH TIMES AND TOLD THE COMPANY ABOUT MY SITUATION. HE APOLOGIZED AND SAID YOU TELL ME ANY DAY AND TIME AND I WILL BE OUT THERE. I ENDED UP NOT USING HIM. THE COST $225 IS PER HOUR.

OTHER PROFESSIONALS IN SIMILAR BUSINESSES RECOMMENDED TRI-COUNTY AND WE FOUND THEIR WORK TO BE OF THE HIGHEST QUALITY. THEY CALL BACK WITHIN 15 MINUTES OF ANY CALL AND TAKE CARE OF EMERGENCIES QUICKLY AND EFFECTIVELY.

TWO MEN DID ABOUT 6 HOURS OF WORK FOR $650. SWEPT ENTIRE GARAGE AFTER THEY CLEANED UP.
