When I got the rejection from the shingle company, I called the company and was told the reason for the rejection. I immediately called the owner of the construction company (on 9-18-13) and explained what I was told about the rejection. He asked for some time to look into things and get back to me (by around Monday 9-23.) I waited until Thursday (9-26) and notified the Better Business Bureau. The contractor never called me, and still hasn't as of today (10-6). Instead some guy who identified himself as a salesman for the shingle company called me on (9-30). He knew practically nothing about how the roof had been installed but confirmed that since there was no underlayment installed the Select warranty isn't possible, and that the Select warranty isn't possible on a roof-over, even though the contractor assured me that is was.
   This person who identified himself as a salesman agreed that I should get what I paid for and was promised. He also agreed that the contractor should be the one to call me, not him.
    Not returning a customer's phone calls is inexcusable as a business practice. It certainly makes me wonder about the integrity, competence, and honesty of the company.
