Oswald was the general contractor, and I told him upfront the amount of money I had to spend on the project. I understand estimates are just that, estimates, but twice the cost of our original agreement was a surprise. And, we weren't given a heads up as the project went on that it had gone over budget. The painter, drywaller, floor layer, and electrician all did excellent work. The plumber was a disappointment. I'm no pro, but I'm pretty sure one is to use water proof caulking when installing a shower. A couple weeks after the project was complete, the shower was leaking into the drywall and floor. After digging into why it was leaking, we found acrylic caulking was used instead of silicone. We had discussed with the plumber on which fixtures we would like. We were told to go ahead and purchase what we wanted and he would install them. A couple weeks later, he told us he had purchased what we wanted, and we had to return ours. I bought through the mail, so I had to pay return shipping and a restocking fee. As Oswald was the general contractor, I was disappointed with his follow up to his contractors.
