They have been here three or four times over the years to work on our yard. The first thing they did for us is we had a tree that died, but I did not want the tree taken down completely so they cut it off. I have huge maple trees in my backyard and they overgrow our deck, so every few years they has to come back and trim the branches back so that it does not end up connecting back to our house. Then in 2010 there was a Poplar tree that was between my house and my neighbor's and it was dead, but there were other plants and other trees that were in that same space and I think we paid about $800, but that is because his crew is really insured. They did not damage any of the other trees; they just put down the one we needed taken down. They do safety harnesses and safety equipment, which I am willing to pay extra for that. If somebody thinks that that is a really expensive price, think of how expenses it would be if somebody has fallen out of the tree. I like the way that they take care with what they do. This time one of the trees that needs to come down is so tall and so dead that we are not going to be able to take it down this time of the year. We are going to have to wait until the middle of the summer when the ground is rock hard, because at this time of the year the guys will not be able to climb the tree to cut it down. He does not take on things that he is not qualified for.

the tree died

The person who comes out is an herbalist. He inspects your work and you can learn a lot from just talking to him as he goes through the yard. He has a lot of ideas and I like the way that he, actually he doesn't physically do the work but he comes out and he's with the people and he'' give you that assurance. Some jobs are quoted and some jobs are done by the hour because they don't know what they are going to get into. My job was like that because we haven't lived here very long and it's very, very wooded in the back and the person who lived here before must not have done much. And so there is a whole lot that needs to be cleaned up, kind of in phases, so I never once felt that my hourly weight was being compromised by somebody who might not work hard or fast because TJ is here and the guys are really efficient - they don't waste a step. And the cleanup is great. I will continue to use them. And I think for TJ's knowledge of him having a degree as an herbalist and because he would know what kind of replacement trees might be better if you are trying to draw in certain nature aspects and stuff. So I think the knowledge and the efficient work style are the ones that you would want to capitalize.

Overall the results of this job was satisfactory,on time ,and on estimate.

All went well. This is the fifth time I used this provider and have pre scheduled aditional work next year (2011).

Very efficient, checked the area and toured the area with the owner after the work was completed.

I have been using them for around 10 years. They are prompt and always live up to what they say, and never argue about anything. They are also very responsive and clean up after themselves. Russell's Tree Service has a crew of very good and loyal workers.
