Crew arrived, as scheduled, the morning of installation. A crew of 5 performed a very thorough, professional job in approximately one and a half hours. Several overgrown shrubs were removed with several new ones planted. Care was taken to not disturb the electric landscaping lighting fixtures. Two baskets of petunias were planted to highlight the area followed by complete mulching. The area was also professionally edged. Would hire again in a heartbeat.

After we got my contact information squared away, it went great! They listened to my wife's and my wishes and came up with a design that looked great and should be low maintenance.  They showed up when they were supposed to and were quick and efficient.  There was some down time while the wiring for the lighting was being completed, so they placed the extra bags of mulch around the house that I had ordered.  I also had an irrigation system installed which resulted in Bard having to come back to finish the sod. They worked with the irrigation company and came back to complete the work.

Everything looks great!

This is one of the most professional work crews we have ever worked with.  They arrived on time, a large crew immediately began work, and they were mostly finished day one. A smaller crew followed the next day to finish up.  We made a couple of last minute changes to the original plan which they took in stride.  I have asked them to provide a yearly maintenance plan.  Bob, Doug and crew are great to work with.  Highly recommend.

We purchased two trees and had them plant. Of total cost,  labor was $335. They gave us flags and we marked where we wanted them installed and they took it from there. Service included digging holes, placing trees, back filling and mulching. They showed up on scheduled and completed the work.

I cannot recommend Bard's Landscaping more highly.
We solicited 3 landscapers for design and bids.  While the design Bob provided wasn't as 'slick' as the other presentations, it was much more appropriate for our home.  Our home is a 75 yrs old cottage and the other designs were too modern and too crowded. Bard's design allowed for plant growth over time.
Doug and his crew were very professional, friendly and flexible.  Over the 3 day installation, we made modifications that required additional work and additional plantings and materials.  Not once, was I made to feel they were being 'put out' for the changes I asked for.
The drainage issue is gone.
All our neighbors have deliberately stopped to tell us how much they like it
We are delighted with the final product and I will use them again in the future.

We hired Bard's Landscaping after seeing their work at a neighbor's property. We made initial contact at the Cincinnati Home and Garden Show and subsequently called for a free design consultation. Bob Bard came to our home and discussed our need to update the landscaping for our older home. Bob, in addition to being very professional,  was very good at listening. Bob provided us with an estimate broken into several jobs that we could pick and choose from to suit our budget. To keep within the budget he offered several options including the option for us to do much of the initial tear out.

The actual time that Bard took to landscape took just one day.  The crew was courteous and worked hard to complete the job.  They were responsive to our questions and when we were not satisfied with a section, a quick call to Bob Bard brought an immediate response.  He called the crew and photos were sent of the section in question.  Bob took it upon himself to add some plants to the layout and personally deliver to the site.

I would recommend Bard's to anyone.

My husband and I hired Bard's Landscaping after receiving a glowing referral. Bob Bard was our contact and he came to our home initially to see our yard, discuss our wants and needs, and measure. Bob was very professional, and showed up at our scheduled time. Per our request, Bob provided us with 3 estimates, one economical, one mid scale and one that had a lot of extras. We ultimately chose the mid scale and added a few of the extras. For the landscaping part, the crew showed up as scheduled and worked tirelessly to get the job done. They tore out our old landscaping and moved the viable trees and bushes to our side yard, which had been bare. They completed the job in a few days time and we are ecstatic with the results. Bob is very talented and we were very happy with the crew. I would not think twice about using them again.

It was fine. It was very simple job. They were very quick in completing the job. There was a little misunderstanding based on the drawing. I had one small difference in expectations, but a solution was made. I was satisfied with the work. They are going to be doing more work for me at the end of September.

Did an outstanding job.  Treated the area like it was their own yard.
Not only professional but also genuinely nice people.  Have done work
for many of our neighbors and we have all had a great experience.

I had multiple companies out to give bids on a landscaping project at a residential address.  When Bard Landscaping came out, Bob Bard was the one to come and talk to us about what we wanted, our budget, etc.  He was very professional and of all the companies we had out, he clicked with our mentality the most.  Bob spent time mapping out the current layout of the project area around the house and what was currently present in those areas.  We had actually asked Bob to come up with 2 plans, one a more economical plan and the other a more upscale plan, and we would later decide.  We ended up going with the economical plan even though it was still over $16,000.
The day they started the project, stage one was basically ripping out 90% of everything that was already there.  The past owner had not maintained the landscaping for a while it seemed, and a lot of areas had gotten out of control and seemed irreclaimable.  It was a totally mutual understanding and decision to basically start from scratch.  Bard's planted a variety of shrubs, perennials, and trees around the house in the front and the back, along with the grassy area in the circle drive.  He also laid rock around half of the driveway circle because of a rain and drainage issue we were having.  New grass was planted in areas where they shortened over-sized flower beds.  Pine straw was thrown in areas under trees where it was best served.   Bob put in a fantastic short stepping stone walkway to one of our exterior laundry room doors through one of the beds.  Bard's provided all materials (pinestraw, topsoil, compost, herbicide, plant material, etc).  Everything turned out great.  The whole project took about 3 days as planned.
If anything was not rated an A+, I guess it would be the 12 annuals that were planted in the front circle drive.  They put down verbena and  petunia's which are best for hanging baskets.  They were pretty thinned out and I actually called Bob and mentioned it.  He said give them a little time to fill in and if we were not happy that he would come back out and replace them.  It was the middle of the month long heat wave in the area, and temperatures were consistently over 100 degrees so I can't blame it all on the annuals!  The only other con would be that the quote took longer than originally stated to get to us.  In the end, neither of these things have any impact on the phenomenal job that was done by Bob and his team.
Just a side-note, I have a Bachelor's degree in Plant Biology from Miami University-Oxford and Bard's plant material quality is very above average compared to the other companies I have dealt and worked with over the years.  If that means anything to anybody.

We have worked with Bard for several years.  Bob Bard has been out to our house multiple times to give a free estimate, check on trees and to make suggestions.  Bard has planted close to 50 trees and shrubs on our property.  The plants are all beautiful and fit our needs perfectly.  The guys who come out to do the work are Bard's employees and really nice guys to work with.  Bard's has stood by their warranty and replaced trees as needed.  We will continue to work with Bards in the future.  We are very happy with their work.

Everything went fine. They came when they said they would and completed the job in one day. Plants seem to be of good quality. They brought the job in for the quote provided. Am planning more landscaping with them in 2012.
