I've used this Locksmith to setup a Master Key system for 3 apartment buildings where I have a set of keys / locks that are interchanged through the buildings as tenants move out. His work has gotten worse over time until a point where I've said enough is enough. The first apartment bulding he put on the system, he did okay (approximate date 04/2008). He seemed cordial and friendly. The second apartment building he put on the system (4/2009), I had to keep calling him to try to get it set up on the Master Key system. He is not very responsive. I finally had to leave a voice mail message indicating I was going to go to another locksmith if he didn't call me back. He finally called me back. His customer service skills are lacking. Very frustrating. The third apartment building he put on the system (6/2011), he made so many mistakes that if I had not caught them as he was putting in locks, I would have had a real mess on my hands. These are some of the mistakes he made on the 3rd building: - Setup a duplicate # on the Master key system - A BIG NO-NO. He said he "Forgot" he had given me an extra lock in his records. Locksmiths are suppose to keep meticulous records of master key systems.- Gave me 2 different style locks from the same vendor instead of 1 style of lock. By doing this, I can not interchange just the lock mechanism out, but I have to change out all the guts (deadbolt, etc) since the 2 styles do not match at all. He even used 2 different styles in the 3rd apartment building when he put it on the lock system!- Completely keyed several keys / locks wrong. When I went to put them in the door, they didn't work. He had to re-key them.- My master key did not work with one of the locks. He had to completely change out the lock. For a 12 unit building (3rd apartment building he keyed), it took him 3 trips to the building to finally get everything right. Most locksmiths would have had a 12 unit building completed in 1 day with the locks done correctly (based on experience with other locksmiths). It took him over a week. I've subsequently called him and left a voice mail message and not received any call back. At first, I thought it might be because he was embarrassed with the quality of his work , but that's no excuse. I would never recommend this locksmith to anyone! Stay Away! He is not responsive, punctional, or professional! His quality is terrible!
