The project was bid for 10 days but was completed in 5 days. The Truline staff was friendly and courteous. They took extra precautions to keep the dust down, which was appreciated as I have a toddler and was 8 months pregnant at the time. The completed garage ceiling was good and the banister was beautiful. Unfortunately, our bathroom remodel was unacceptable. A summary of the completed bathroom is as follows: - The subway tile grout installed in the shower area was two different colors upon completion. Truline staff admitted to buying 2 different brands of grout and not mixing the bags together. - Truline removed original tile throughout the bathroom and installed drywall/used drywall compound. Finish work was not good - excess mud was not removed, spots were not filled in all the way, small holes were left above the tile in the shower area, and remaining tile grout was left on the door trim. - Truline painted the bathroom ceiling and walls. Lines were sloppy and paint was left on light fixtures. Additionally, underneath the vanity was not painted. - Truline installed baseboard. The baseboard material used was of poor quality (not wood and is already peeling) and was not installed underneath the vanity. - Caulking was not completed around the shower doors - one side was caulked while the other side was not caulked. - There was a leak underneath the sink. - Attic insulation was falling from the newly installed ceiling fan. The aforementioned issues were addressed with the Truline owner via phone. The Truline owner sent a staff member to remedy the issues the next business day. All issues were rectified to our satisfaction with the exception of the leaking sink and ceiling fan. In regards to the leaking sink, the staff member concluded the leak was originating from one of the shut off valves. The leak was not repaired. As for the ceiling fan, the staff member went into the attic and reconnected the exhaust hose. He stated that if falling insulation continued to be a problem we could put a cardboard box over the hole. We contacted a plumber to fix the leaking sink. Immediately, the plumber determined that the leak was due to the lack of a trap installed underneath the sink. We also hired a separate contractor to inspect the ceiling fan as we continued to have issues with insulation falling from the fan. He determined that the ceiling fan was too small for the original opening, and basically, a hole was left in the ceiling causing the insulation to fall. Truline never addressed the fan being too small with us. Although part of the project was completed to satisfaction (garage ceiling and banister), the bathroom remodel was a combination of unfinished tasks and poor/sloppy workmanship. In our opinion, a lot of these issues were a result of Truline rushing the project. It was especially disheartening to have to hire additional professionals (a plumber and a 2nd contractor) to finish the project considering Truline advertises themselves as being proficient in carpentry and plumbing. We would not recommend this company to anyone.
